Features of ROM:
For version 4G or 8G
Using SD card as basic place of Android apps installation, but you can change this in settings -> storage.
Rom totally in English, no Chinese apps, some extras instead.
This version is based on official 20130320_e2001_v89_jbl1a698 ROM, but with added root, apps2ext, busybox and other features, but whats most important, it has all fixes from official rom:
1. Solve the problem of address conflicts wifi
2. Optimize photo
3. Solve the problem much focus (Checked, now even distanced photos are totally sharp).
4. Dialing display area is truncated
Scoring in AnTuTu above 13k points.
Language support: Multilingual, default language setting is EN.
Rom can be installed only by recovery which I also attach to this thread.
Known fault is not working proximity sensor, but I think that isn't a big problem comparing to adventages coming from that rom.
If you've got troubles with long GPS fix, try obtaining it with "GPS Status" app first.
Now also saving setting shouldn't be a problem. For me 3G works, try it yourself, it should be better.
What's more, now vibration is much stronger.

Great rom, 3G and proximity sensor work OK for me. I recommend this rom!! Only there is no booting animation like Samsung…
sorry for the dumb question but im kinda new ….how do i use the tools for flashing my phone?

Before entering recovery mode. Copy the 'rom image' to your sd card or internal sd memory. Then switch off your phone.
1st you need to add in Recovery mode to your phone.
1. Load up the flash_tool software on your pc.
2. Go to 'file' (in the top menu) and click on 'Open Scatter loading file' and search for the scatter file you downloaded here. Search for 'MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt'.
3. Switch off you phone. Take out your battery and put it back in.
4. Plug the usb lead into your phone and pc (keep phone off).
5. On the software click 'download'. You will get an error/ alert box opening. Click continue anyway.
Hopefully this will install the recovery image to your phone. You may get another error using the Flash tool included on this site (not just the flash tool included on this rom, I tried others and still got an error). If so download a newer Flash tool. I think 'SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1304.0.119' is the one I used. Google this and you will find loads of results.
If/ when it does flash ok. You can access recovery mode by pressing the 'up' and the 'power' button at the same time whilst the phone is off. Hold these together until the phone boot ups into recovery. This isn't instant. The phone may take 20secs to come on.
Once in recovery mode use the volume keys and the power button to navigate.
1. Navigate to 'install zip from cdcard'. Select (by pressing the power button quickly)
2. Navigate to 'choose zip from sdcard. Select this.
3. Navigate to your rom zip file. Select.
4. Wait. Do not touch. It will tell you what its doiung at the bottom of the screen. Eventually the menu will appear at the top of the screen again.
5. Select 'go back' until you reach the main screen.
6. Select 'reboot'.
Hopefully all done.
Whilst you are in recovery mode you will notice other options. You can wipe the cache partition. But do not factory reset. This will delete the rom image on your sd.
Good luck. Reember that flashing your phone can brick it so be careful.
One last thing to add to my last post. When rebooting from recovery mode. It asks you whether you want to disable recovery mode. Select no.

wcdma-imt-2000, wcdma-pcs-1900, wcdma-clr-850, wcdma-800
Still cannot get faster 3G signal… anyone that could help?

And are you sure that is provides 3G through the 2100Mhz or 800Mhz band?
FenixxPI - My carrier is CELCOM in Malaysia. They using "The original frequency band for GSM is 900 MHz, and was soon extended to 1800 MHz to cater for a much wider bandwidth requirements. So, my phone only support wcdma-imt-2000, wcdma-pcs-1900, wcdma-clr-850, wcdma-800, but this Celcom is using 900mhz, 1800mhz & 2100Mhz (wcdma).
Can I change that value in my phone? Any idea? TQ
HijauTECH – Still there is no place, where CELCOM says which exact part of the 2100Mhz band they are using.
As I know, in fact that band is split into two, this means sub-bands in 20xxMhz and 21xxMhz. Our S7589 works in that first sub-band, not second. That means if your operator has his band in 21xxMhz you can't do anything, because this can't be modified by software.

I am very happy today… I have successfully link my phone with my CELCOM 3G network.
So, no faulty or issues with this ROM for 3G signal…. GREAT JOB FenixxPI…
But the problem maybe with the modem inside the phone. I have successfully link where there is a STRONG signal area.The signal is so smoooth.
But after a while, I feel a bit warm at the upper back of my S7589 phone. Is it normal?

Could I install this rom on a S7100 Note II phone 5.5" MTK6577 Android 4.1 dual core 1GB RAM 4GB? I have installed a rooted 4.1.1 rom for S7180 (20130116_e1901_v77_jbla668_fwvga) and it is very ok.
chavnick – No, this rom will only work in S7589, with MTK6589 but not in any other (even similar) phone.

some feedback here.
I still have issues while trying to update gapps (google search or gmail).
When I install an app, I have a message while restarting, saying that I will lose some data and that temp memory will be cleared.
For instance, the data loss on sd card that I used to experience with other roms seems to be solved.

Hi to all , any prob with the screen rotation ?
My screen doesn't auto- rotate anymore
I have problem with flashing or rooting the phone.
When I try rooting it with mtk droid tools,
It ask me to press the restore button,
I press it and nothing happens, it just keeps on going.
Tried also to flash this (or any) custom Rom with sp flash tool,
Always get an error message (8200 or something like this).
Can anyone help?
I recently purchased this phone, and I cannot get it to connect to the Verizon network. Does anyone have any information on why? I have tried everything I can think of witch exception of flashing a different ROM. Right now the phone is stock.
