   Got a brandnew star mobile up prime, upgraded to latest nougat v13 via update. After few hours of use, I found it very hard to type messages, its like when you press a letter O it will type either letter i or p. And so with the rest of the letters, you always have to delete because of the wrong letters being written. 

    

   Another major problem, is that on messaging icon it will show that you have new messages but when you open the messaging icon there is no new messages to display. But when i connect it to PC there is really new unread messages but the phone could not display it. 

    

   This by far the worst phone I ever had, such a waste of money. I should have stick to purchase another Cloudfone, its far far better than this crap up prime.

   Downgraded to version 12 from this site. so far it can display new messages. But the touch screen problem on virtual keyboard is still the same, a lot of mistyped letters even I slowed down pressing the letters.

   jayrjoe: My father is having the same problem. The phone was provided by a network postpaid plan. Seems that it has a virus embedded in the system. I inspected the XeroxService APK and upon decompilation of the code, I discovered that it loads an encrypted file and runs it as a daemon in the background. I don't know what it does, but a normal harmless program should not be doing that, so it is very suspicious. XeroxService keeps downloading and installing itself no matter how many times it is uninstalled. I'm here because we plan to root the phone, remove XeroxService and StarMobile Care that was flagged as a trojan by antivirus software, so in case that the phone is bricked because of the rooting process, hopefully the stock Android ROM provided here can bring it back to life.
