Hello,
this fixes the resetting recovery, root and other changes problem for the latest stock rom "Elephone_P8_20171009". That allows to keep your changes to the phone after restarting. Working fine on some confirmed devices – no resets anymore. Also no data loss if done correctly.
For installed rom: Download boot.img.zip (includes scatter-file) and flash with SP Flash Tool. After that you can flash whatever you want.
For preparing full flashes, extra content or if you want help: Download Elephone_P8_20171009-flash.zip. Included in this package are: instructions to install, download links, twrp recovery 3.2.1 (needrom), magisk root v16.0, scatter-file and the boot.img. Instructions are "simple", step by step for unexperienced users.
After the flash you should be able to mod your phone like on any other ROM (of course limited to its specifications).
