DESCRIPTION
Custom rom for ZP998 based on Fluffys 1.03 rom with following changes :
Cleaning:
- removed the useless stufs like videos, chinese files
- removed all OTA stuff (zopo never used OTA until now and this is a custom rom so OTA will only make conflicts)
- removed all the ZOPO themes => THIS IS SHOULD BE AN ANDROID STOCK ROM !
- removed most of Fluffys preinstalled apps
- removed Exchange and Email app (i only use GMAIL, if you used these apps don't use this rom)
- update some apps to latest version
A bit of KitKat:
- replaced the default Launcher with the KitKat Launcher
- replaced the default gallery/camera with a modified KitKat Gallery/Camera (I added zopo resolutions 14, 13, 12, 10 and 9.5Mpx)
- replaced the bootanimation with nexus5 bootanimation
A bit of MIUI (not that much sorry ):
- replaced the android sounds by the MIUI sounds (I also added an alarm clock… I don't like alarm clocks that make you jump out of the bed ^^ )
- replaced the default filemanager by Mi File Manager (not really MIUI but MIUI inspired)
Some optimisations:
- hosts file to remove ads (yeah i know some devs will hate me… But I don't mind, if people wish to have incomes they should do good pay apps… not full of ads free apps)
- gps conf file for europe (If you don't live in europe, you may need to change this or use a gps tool to make the changes for you)
- pictures and videos optimisations (jpg are less compressed, video bitrate is bigger and videos are saved in mp4)
- replaced the default browser with google chrome
- some system optimisation to use less ram
Some preinstalled apps (can be uninstalled normally) without special root uninstall tools:
- facebook
- twitter
- google+
- youtube
- rebooter (the one in fluffys rom)
- skype
- mobile uncle toolbox
Known Bugs:
- all the zopo bugs/missing features that are in stock rom and fluffys rom :/
- camera panorama and camera photosphere does Force Close (I need to see why)
- first boot may be a bit long
- the default dock is almost empty (3 icons are shwon: hangout, appdrawer and chrome) but you can add your shortcut that of course will be saved … I could had modded the apk to have the dial and sms icons by default too, but this would had taken a lot of time as I may search where to mod it :/
How to Install ?
in TWRP recovery (or CWM if you prefere using it) : wipe cache, dalvik, data and system
then install the zip

Yeah, the most important issue to get fixed on this rom is the WiFi one. Makes it unusable.
this wifi issue is really strange :/
i didn't had such issue on Fluffy's rom and I didn't change something concerning the wifi :/
Wifi is ok and very well (fact reset,wipe cache,dalvik,format system)…You shoud to reinstall if it don’t work.
Great rom. Less ram used. Yes the button for photos doesn’t work…

Wifi does not really work. Happens all the time "obtaining IP address". I installed rom fluffys and it does work wifi, but this rom does not work.
that's really weird :/ as this rom is based on fluffys with some zopo software removed and some kitkat added :/

what is the full procedure you do ?
Help. I can not go back to the original software. I used SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1348.00. Nothing. Confort interface. Button on the camera works. GPS does not work. And I need GPS huge. Plssss, how can I reinstall the original software!

Don't mean to pressure you, I'm just wondering because im very anxious to test this rom
well in fact i had a lot of work to do these previous days and i'm working on an update (well it is more like a new rom) where people have choice of what they want or not
unfortunately i also had a harddrive issue and need to redo my work.
normaly i should upload a new rom on monday
Yes…the zopo update seems not to be wonderful, just the sound bug in microphone…
