Install ROM CWM:
With phone turned off, press and hold VOL. DOWN key and then POWER button. As soon as the phone vibrates you should release the keys. The splash logo will appear with “Recovery mode” written on the bottom left of the screen.
As soon as the splash logo disappears, an image with a triangle and an android will appear. You should now press back to enter the menu. Navigation is made using volume keys (menu up with VOL. UP and menu down with VOL. DOWN) and menu key to apply the action.
Custom recovery mode: As soon as the splash logo disappears, ClockworkMod Recovery menu will appear. Navigation is made using volume keys (menu up with VOL. UP and menu down with VOL. DOWN) and power button to apply the action. This new custom recovery also supports touch functionality for navigation under the menus.

I flashed this ROM, then flashed JUST the recovery portion with another ROM that had CWM. Then I used CWM to install super su! Now I am fully rooted, with CWM, gapps, and working cameras!

I succeed in installing this rom by CWM. After that, i have no more CWM ( normal) But when I try to flash another rom using only recovery…every time it says Brom error. I have tried the lastest rom : ThL_W5.130226.JB.V1_17.HD.CN.and some older ones but I ve got the same message Brom error….can you help me out ? Thanks
instale primeiro uma rom que ja vem com cwm e so depois voce instala pelo cwm o android 4.1 se nao conseguir depois eu posto a outra rom que vem com cwm
I used SP Flash Tools to flash everything. I did a full flash of the official update, and then relaunched SP Flash Tools, loaded up the ROM I knew had a CWM Recovery, and downloaded that to the phone. I've uploaded all the files I used with a guide onto NeedRom.
If you try installing the ROM through CWM, it may damage CWM. I tired that once before, and every time I booted into recovery, my CWM would still function but the screen would be flashing all over, making it very hard to read anything. I managed to fix all that with the above method.
Also, I think the origional uploader may have changed the ROM that I downloaded before (I tried downloading again but it was different). I've reuploaded the one that worked for me.

Yeah, I see what you mean, but as you can see, this rom has no scatter, so I was forced to flash it by CWM.
Can you help me to install this rom by SPTools ? I remind you once more this rom has no scatter.
I just realized I posted in the wrong thread, after checking. It was the THL W5+ that came with a scatter file.
