I purposely left out details and links on how to obtain and use SP Flash tools, so you only use this image if you know what you're doing,

This file is for flashing with SP Flash tool,

• use scatter file from X5max stock rom (available here in needrom)
• uncheck everything except recovery
• replace recovery with posted file
• flash
• boot with pwr & vol+
• select recovery
• voila!!

Once you've done a full backup (it's the first thing you should do!!!) , then you may download latest supersu (UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.00-00000000000000.zip worked fine for me) and install it to get root
