If you want unlock bootloader you nedd write command ( fastboot flash unlock) on umidigi 4/64
You can install this twrp recovery via flashify from playstore.
Hint, hint: there's also "OEM unlocking" option in "Developer options" which allows bootloader to be unlocked!
And btw, source link (stupdroid.com) says all data will be erased?! I know /data partition is encrypted, but data will be erased only if I manually format the partition, right? It would be the first time I see that flashing custom recovery erases all data from device automatically. I hope that's not the case here!?
You erased you date only one time when you unlock you bootloader. After that you date never be erased again.
Wrong. Just check "OEM unlocking" option like I said in my last reply, and booloader will be unlocked *without* touching /data partition. Formatting /data partition is still required to make full system backup, ofc.
