FACTORY ROM UMI X1S – ROM Android 4.2.1
Standard factory rom !!!
You need Smart Phone Flash Tool (in attachements in upper left-side of this page - you have the link for download)
You need also basic package from Umi factory flash rom ! (this is also there in attachements). You only need to extract from zip in an new folder, then use Smart Phone Flash Tool, load scatter loading from your foder where the zip was extracted…..and give further Firmware->Upgrade there is upper left side of this Smart Phone Flash Tool.
If your phone is very bad bricked, try to load preloader only from another phone with MTK6589 processor, but only preloader, then further disconnect phone from usb cable and reconnect again….and do the usual steeps to flash your basic rom.
You will have the last factory rom know !

The GPS logging it's good, the time to do that is less than previous factory rom! And you could do the flash of this rom without any troubles
I was forced to use this recovery package because my Umi X1s has bricked after a font change with a market application…..after that the phone didn't start anymore. After this rom all is back again without problem
Can I flash this from recovery and will I lose root acces after that?

No, root acces remain available. You will have further superuser rights

FM radio won't work and can't get in CWM.
Same problem, how I can replace this rom, there is not way to enter in recovery mode
So, it's better to stay with 20130520 official rom and to use CameraICS app for camera (less blur) for now. All in all, I am satisfied with this phone…

This ROM is disaster. It changes ringtone to default after few hours, droidwall(firewall) is not working, cannot install busybox, light sensor is on 800lx even in absolute dark at night. I didnt mention terrible GPS, non working FM radio, no keyboard, no recovery… Only one plus is good quality of photos.
