- Install custom recovery (TWRP recommended).
- Boot into recovery mode.
- Now select wipe ( factory rest ).
- Advance wipe ( button blue ) & select partitions , dalvik cache, system , cache , user data ( just first user data )
- Select install & select downloaded zip file.
- Install success.

Exoosed works. I also noticed that this rom uses a bit more memory than 1606 Cuoco92 custom.
But somehow, when i check root condition, the root checker reported : device not preporly rooted. so i tried to reflash the super user again. after reboot , i found there is no super user anymore?!
Can someone help how to get it rooted again? i have tried to flash twice without sucess.
Everything else seams still works fine so far.
i have re-flashed the rom, and file manager only. make sure do NOT flash the system update.zip. i think this is a factory based update will somehow removed superuser root. anyway, i did not install the system update this time. so the phone is stay rooted. then restored all my my apps ( make sure to uncheck system backup if there is one there). still feel this rom uses more memory thank the 1608 cuoco92 rom.
the preinstalled exposed framework is also coming handy. and the toolhero is also very useful. it allow you to back up IMEI to your storage.
for australia, caller id is still not working.
i will provide some other update once i have used it for a while.
Sorry, i have flashed the 1609 rom, then the file manager.zip. but NOT the system update which i believe can remove the superuser root….
How about NVRAM error and System UI has stopped warning, which do not go away when your battery isleft 15%?
To anwer your question update some findings:
1) i have never experienced NVRAM err with K3 note, instead i experienced Network Server Failer (1,800xxx) few times with all the roms so far. including this one. the err msg only pop up for 1 second then gone. when it happens, it does not affect enything or function of the phone. so i think this may be location /country related. Just like the caller ID issue, which is still not fixed on this new rom. but it seams only happen in Australia.
2) so far ( after few hours), this rom seams pretty stable. by default, this rom uses more ram than my previous 1606 Cuoco92 ST rom. I have installed Greenify ( donation version), and let some of the apps, and also system apps to sleep. it has helpped to release some of the memory – as i can tell that i have 1g free now.
3) DT2W is not working, Neither the black screen wakeup function. Hope there will be some new update or new rom to fix this issue. this rom is a developer version, have to wait for a ST version for less issues. hope it will come soon.
4) the ToolHero and Exposed version both are built in and work well. I have already backed up my IMEI using the Toolhero which is a Chinese/ English version, but once you have started it, you will know what to do.
Overall, i recommond to install this rom. it only take a very short time to install and there is NO err message during the installation. All google Gapps are working in the first go. again, make sure dont install the 'system update.zip'. ( i think it caused the superuser problem, but could be other reason, you may want to give it a try). for me there is no much points to install a factory system update for a rooted rom.
I will give it more test tomorrow.
there is another too LSpeed. but i dont know how to use it. can somebody share some ideas about this tool? i put it into hibernationn….

Do you see some annoying chinese character at places where you don't wnat them to be ? How about LED's, all of those work fine?

It does not work the clock application. Neither work giving the necessary permissionsWhat does that mean ” characters not working “?

Unfortunately that’s a known bug and no fix provided.
Try searching play store and you might get an alternative app for that feature.
Is LED notifcation working? Can't seem to get it to work. Just enabled it in Display settings. Anything else need to be setup?
