Is Lenovo crapware removed from the ROM? What is included?
How to flash this rom via recovery? What can i do?
You should donload Flashtool , then run , in scarter – brows and select scarter file in rom arhive, then press Firmware update , and after press , 0 connect phone via usb cable.
But gfirst you need to instal usb drivers.

i understand this is stock rom with root. is it possible to write to /system. i have stock (not custom rom) rooted with iroot but i cannot write to /system

it works on my 2gb lenovo a936. I had the phone rooted when I bought it. It has philz touch installed on the phone. The problem is philz touch is in chinese and I cant read it. So I followed the instructions in the pdf in the zip file. The pdf in in chinese with a bit of poorly translated english. It was enough to follow along and install this rom. There is basically only a few steps. I will just list a quick overview. 1. You install the lenovo drivers for the phone. I am on win7 64 bit and it worked. I plugged in the phone at power off and turned it on. it recgonized it and stayed at a black screen. Opened the flash tool program. I picked the scatter file that they say to use. mt6752_android_scatter.txt In the options, in downloads click the checking button. On the main i pressed the download and it was all green and did its install and check. It took around 10 min or so. Then the phone was back to factory look and rooted.
I wiil update a new rom again when or if Lenovo issues lollipop. Like to figure out how to change the language of the philz touch or install an english version
Hi kschewe, I've Philz touch in EN on my A936, there are just few easy steps to take to update the recovery.
Check out the post on xda regarding EASY MAGIC PHILZ TOUCH INSTALLER. Worked like a charm for me – with a credit to yuweng.
