It is based on the rom posted by luongtuan582
You need the flash tool he posted, also when you get to the stage of turning your phone off and take out the battery. You must leave it OFF, do not turn it on and you might need to connect and disconnect the USB cable until the phone is recognized by the flash tools.
The good:
1. China staff removed, anything I can find
The system image even had a CD image, on this image a PDF document with USB specs, an example of china quality control.

3. Added SuperSU , Don't forget to buy the pro version or donate, If you like it.
Just install any software that require root, SuperSU is working out of the box.
4. Added recovery boot by MTKtools patch.
5. Updated the Time Zone to 2013d ( We can now return from Athens 
).
The might be bad:
1. The ugly default background was left, I tried to change it but the phone did not like my changed framework.
2. The phone will boot up in Hebrew ( instead of Chinese ), it should support most languages, not tested, nothing Hebrew special is installed, just changed the default Country and Language of the Image.

thanks for this ROM. although HDMI doesn't work(as you say) it's not a problem for me – I don't use it at all. but this ROM solved all annoying problems – a lot of weird and strange chinese apps and bugs with installing play market.

I wonder if the HDMI can be fixed by using the original libmtkhdmi_jni.so file, and replacing it in the /system/lib folder? I checked both files with a hex editor and there are a few little differences.
If anyone who has flashed this ROM wants to try, I've attached the original 4.0.4 English Rom's file. You can make a copy of your libmtkhdmi_jni.so in another location, and then put this one in its place and try the HDMI.

I've put the file in a RAR because needrom doesn't allow upload of .so files. Just extract it and put it in your /system/lib folder on your phone.

manishdsoulmate, your phone has different RAM volume – 512MB instead 1GB in Vsun i5. I think, the firmware is incompatible.
