DESCRIPTION


ROM Mobile STAR S4 – ROM Android 4.2.1

add same version but rooted

Update 06/04/2013 Official ROM STAR S4 Version: S4 20130604-224540 ( No Rooted ! )

Official ROM STAR S4 Version: S4 20130428-120004 ( Rooted ! )

Language support: Multilang

 

Install ROM :

Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
Select a the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in ROM
Turn off your phone, remove the battery.

Press F9 (or hit Download button) and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
And green circles display
Finish !

You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

    ciao, da quello che ho capito ha solo il root. un mio amico ha preso questo telefono, ha un sacco di problemi ad usare la connessione dati, con tre, con wind etc. bloccandosi la connessione dati poi il suo telefono risulta irraggiungibile. su svariati forum è un problema comune si queste telefoni cinesi… ma è una bella seccatura… a te funziona bene la connessione dati?

    Ciao, io posseggo un Star S4…ho provato a flasshare la Rom, ma Flash Rom mi da l'errore 4001…non riesco a installarla

    io ho flashato la rom sul cellulare del mio amico senza problemi con windows xp, spegni il telefono e togli la batteria, collegando il telefono spento al pc ti verranno chiesti i driver (inclusi su). poi decomprimi i due archivi del programma di flash e della rom. lancia "flash_tool.exe", in file scegli "Open Scatter-loadinf file…" e scegli il file "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt " dalla cartella della rom e poi flashi con F9 o premendo "Download", non ci mette più di un 1 minuto. cmq sta rom ha solo il root e qualche app fondamentale dal market, a chi può piacere, ci ha messo l'animazione dell'samsunsg S4 all'avvio… I problemi del 3G rimangono purtroppo tutti (come sull'S5 di mio fratello… credo sia un problema degli 850mhz del 3g italiano… cmq non funziona a nessuno sto 3g…) e il mio amico sta valutando la possibilità di rimandarlo indietro il telefono…

    HI all,

    Does anyone have the original shipped ROM? (I lost it and I´d like to re-flash with it  just to test some functionality)

    Even with this new rom I still have some issues with WIFI & GPS. WIFI does work only when you´re really close to the AP, otherwise the connection is dropped every now and then and it´s basically not usable.

    GPS takes ages to get the signal and the altitude´s accuracy is really weak.

    Looking forward an answer from someone that has more information than me ;)

    ps: in Germany there´re no issue with the 3G connection. I didn´t have the chance to test in Italy.

    (non scrivo in Italiano, tanto si capisce ;) )

    Ciao a tutti. il 3g in italia (vodafone) va che è uno spettacolo. ma ho molti problemi con il wifi, prende solo davvero vicino al modem. come risolvere?

      we´re all in the same situation! … in addition the logcat is flooded with warning that, I suppose, make the device slower and probably unstable.

      I´ve also noticed that from one boot, and another… the WIFI antenna behave differently …sometimes it works (and IP address is taken) and sometimes not….

      so far, the worst choice ever in terms of purchase for me :(  … I hope somebody is gonna release an updated ROM with kernel fixes.

      i have a backup and i change the boot.img and system.img  with mine from backup…everything is working without any trouble but i have internal memory 8 not 4 gb…so i format internal sd (fat32!!!) right after flashing-because after flashing internal sd card is only 2.4gb….just need to by formatted (connected to pc)to restore the all memory size

    qualcuno mi spiega come si istalla la recovery possibilmente con uncle non con cwm in modo da paccioccarlo e provare le rom dello zopo o umi cosi vi consiglio
