Install ROM:
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6592_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone.
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM
When it come out?
I cant load the scattering file in any version of Flashtools (Windows 8.1). I test with the 3 roms, and all is the same.
I always get 8471 error ("The load scattering file is invalid"). All the files are in main dic ("C:\").
Any more with this problem? Thanks.
Ok. The problem seems to be a line in the MT6592_Android_scatter.txt file. I delete the first line, and vòila!

mi problema es error 8417
you just must delete the BIRDTOOLMINVER[3.4]
from the start of the scatter file…after that save it…and load it..it worked to me
ok.. delete BIRDTOOLMINVER[3.4] and it's ok!! but.. now i have a problem with imei… IMEI NOT VALIDE!!!

Why don't these updates come in OTA? Do i understand it right that there is only ONE phone (one type of hardware) and that rom1 and rom2 can be used but rom1 can't be updated to rom2 and rom2 can't be 'updated' to rom1. What's the exact difference between com1 and rom2. When does the problem come up of loosing the IMEI number? Should i wait with these updates?
Is there any chance there will be an 5.1 update. I understand the Mediatech MKT6592(M) now actually is supported for the 5.0 and 5.1 android update. Did anyone have a go in making a different recovery rom (CWM or TWRP) for this phone?.
Not that i absolutely need it to be rooted because it's working very well the way it is but some programs i use need root for the extra features.
I hope someone can help me out with my questions. I love the phone but I still think i have a better chance of finding the answers here than with Cubot itself. They seem to focus on bringing out new phones and then forgetting about the previous models. If they would focus a little more on support they would sell a lot more on western markets.
