For those with trouble OTA. I downloaded the latest rom from Ulefone. I used modded recovery to clear the davik and cache partitions. I then SP Tools flashed boot, recover, and system partitions. This should retain your configured phone and apps. Then allow the phone to boot properly rechecking all additional apps. Some apps maybe removed if they were ever moved into the system partition so they will need reinstalling if so. Then you can flash a modded recover and sideload in SupersSu for root. Go through all your settings and apps to make sure they are aligned to their settings.
It seems like I am not able to install the OTA update. I've tried it in any possible way, it is not working at all. Anyway I did not locate any .zip file in the update.zip.
Does anyone have an idea? I have rooted the phone + twrp (I have tried the update with the stock recovery as well). Is it problably because it is rooted?
Best regards
I think some phones have obscure versions of files/drivers making it fail. Best to do what I said above about flashing the system partition. I suggest doing the boot partition (and recovery) to make sure the boot process goes to plan.
Example I purchased two Ulefone Power phones as gifts, and one patches ok and the other not. Both purchased at same time and with preinstalled A6.
I try flash system partition, but SP Flash Tool give me an error "pmt changed for the rom it must be downloaded".What did I do?
Partions that have changed are boot, recovery, system and preloader. The partition "preloader_hct6753_65u_m0.bin" has changed but I don't recommend poeple flashing this as if they fail it could partly brick your phone. The preloader is how your computer communicates with the phone over usb in low-level boot mode for flashing, etc.
Yesterday I flashed the system partition only via the SP flash tool, everything is working fine, no bugs or whatsoever.
Maybe you can flash the boot as well, it's your choice. When I flashed the Android 6 rom first, I flashed the Preloader as well. Thanks for the explanation what he is doing, however due to the fact that this is a official rom, you can flash the Preloader if you want.
If you want to flash e.g. cyanogenmod, than without preloader please. The rom is very nice btw, I think the battery is not draining as fast as it was before. Good choice flashing this, I recommend doing it.
Have a nice day and best regards

Had the same problem with the latest Android 6 OTA update. After the reboot I
got the Android-figure with the exclamation mark.
Found the solution in an other forum: to unmount the sd-card before loading and upgrading
does the trick.
Cool to know.
Keep it simple guys. We all flashed Android 6 with the Sp flash tool, so why not again? Forget about the "formation" stuff, flashing is very safe and everything is working flawless, seriously I have not discovered any bugs (yet).
If you want to flash: Download the official Android rom (here or from the Ulefone blog) –> load the scatter file –> flash "system" (partiton) ONLY! No preloader or whatsoever. ONLY SYSTEM PARTITION, nothing more and your device gets better by 80%! Better battery life, system is even faster than before, all clear button in the taskmanager.
Please, stop partitioning your SD card and just flash the stuff, you will be fine. Have a nice day and best regards
@scout3001: Did you format your sd-card as internal or removable? Maybe internal is inaccessible after update?
Did the same, prationated my sd card as internal storage and I hope, it will be still funcitonating, if the OTA update install next time without my sd card input
When I manually installed the update zip it failed with driver indifference errors for the finger scanner. There is a chance some Ulefone Power units have different drivers and software versions makign the updage fail. Installed the whole rom or the whole system-partition corrects the issue.
what about fast charging??
The one drive download link has expired. :/
Anyone got a mirror link?
Just download the latest software from the Ulefone blog: http://ulefone.com/download/po......html
The link is working (google drive) just watch out for the blue download button on the bottom of the page. In general: Needrom ist great! Thank you guys, but you can also see all the stuff at the Ulefone blog (if a link is down for instance).
Best regards and have a nice day
ehmm where is download link?
I am having issues with this update.
followed all instructions given in the official video, but after second up button + connect the Tool didnt start upgrade. it starts with red bar then waits for a while then gives ERROR. in the video it was supposed to be green bar and then yellow. any suggestions?
I've downloaded this official flash tool as well, however it seems to be very complicated. Other colleagues have some issues with it as well so I recommend doing it with the Flashtool 5.1604, regarding that this is a universal flashtool for Mediatek devices.
You can find it here as well. I flashed Android 6 in the first place and the OTA update with it. It is working, however your IMEI number will get lost while doing this. You can restore it very easily, due to an instruction on this forum.
Good luck, if you have any questions about the flashing process please contact me personally. Best regards and have a nice day
I am missing the G-Sensor calibration in MTK engineering mode. My gravity sensor is tilted in horizontal axis. In Android5.1 when installing MTK engineering I was able to calilbrate for at least the current session. Does anyone know if this is an Android6 problem? Thanks in advance
