DESCRIPTION
This is a modded repack of laek.17 v4 KitKat AOSP from https://www.needrom.com/download/aosp-4-4-v2-multilanguage-laek-17/
Some small (but important) additions/changes
-> The kernel has been downgraded to v3 version's kernel. This radically improves battery performance.
-> The rom now includes a bootlogo (laek's default one). The original v4 rom by laek didn't have a boot logo, therefore people upgrading from JellyBean would be stuck with a (jelybean) logo incompatible with kitkat (therefore a weird excalamation mark appears immediately before the boot animation). The explicit addition of a kitkat compatible boot logo inside this new repack fixes this problem.
Before installing a whole rom (such as this one) you MUST do all wipes at least two times since some buggy recoveries do not delete stuff correctly!!!
If you have already installed the default laek v4 rom from https://www.needrom.com/download/aosp-4-4-v2-multilanguage-laek-17/:
I include bootimg_v3_laek.zip and bootimg_v4_laek.zip for people that just want the kernel.
-> Eg, if you have laek v4 and only want to flash the kernel from v3 (for better battery life) just install bootimg_v3_laek.zip from TWRP or CWM recovery. AFTER FLASHING A KERNEL ONLY WIPE CACHE AND DALVIK-CACHE. DON'T WIPE ANYTHING ELSE BECAUSE YOU WILL DELETE YOUR PREINSTALLED ROM.
-> In case you want to revert back to v4 kernel simply flash bootimg_v4_laek.zip and wipe cache and dalvik-cache immediately afterwards.

Thank You (and laek) for your work. Rom is very good. I have only one problem – it's the g-sensor. Sometimes it just don't work properly (or not working at all)
Does anyone of you have problem with g-sensor too?

If you are doing kernel downgrade (or upgrade) don't forget to calibrate battery

Guys if you are having problems: YOU PROBABLY DIDN’T DO THE WIPES CORRECTLY.
You must do at least two wipes with a reboot to recovery inbetween. Wipe everything. If you don’t there will be leftovers causing weird bugs.
Wipe cache, dalvik cache, system, data, internal sd. Also FORMAT the external sd on your pc before putting the rom zip in it.
what about the camera needs any patch like other roms?
The camera is AWESOME with no patches needed. I am very picky about photography: in almost all kitkat roms the camera is light years ahead of any jellybean rom.
Installing a different camera application such as lenovo super camera will give you more processing-preset options. The raw sensor image data will still remain as good.
