Why can't I download this file
Hi all, just bought the Alba 4 from Argos, hoping it would guide me round the streets either bike or car with suitable Sat Nav apps, but for some reason the GPS refuses to work without SIM or wifi. I don't intend running a SIM in it…I just want to use it with offline maps. I have been using an old Lumia 925 (WIndows 8.1). Works a treat with 'Here.com', but as we all know, creating routes on laptop won't sync to the phone, so all you can do is put a destination in, then I connect to bluetooth earpiece or comms in my helmet – don't need to see screen, just listen to navigation. So I would like to 'update' my system, thats why I went for the Alba. The other reason I went for a basic phone is that charging the Alba could be done with a solar powerpack as with bicycling, the motorcycle is taken care of, by a usb charge unit under the seat. Don't need battery saving, but the settings on the Alba suck. Is there any other way I can root this phone other than go down this route…? I shall of course be googling the root option, but anyone hear done different…?
I downloaded this file last night tried to load it onto my ALBA 4 phone and after it completed the phone turned on with crazy colours like red, blue and green. I tried reloading the same firmware three times but the phone is still the same. I cannot get it working again. Please help.
