I'm trying to backup NVRAM first in order to install twrp. However, the scatter file of the ROM I had up until now doesn't seem to have a partition for it so I'm going to try with this one.

No Light/Proximity sensor working with this ROM. Looks nice and has the first-run configuration setup like regularly branded phone, not found on all the other ROMs I tried for the S1. But still, seems to be an older ROM, or for the batch of phone that doesn't have the sensors installed in the phone (hardware). On mine, the only ROM that makes it possible to use the Proximity sensor only (but not the light sensor yet) is V10 found on the Bluboo Forum here:

Follow the video tutorial to upgrade the configuration data for the sensor if it doesn't work on the first installation (there is a written how-to in english in the comments of the youtube video that makes it easier to understand). Beware of the fact that the screen of the phone must be awake while using the GuitarTestPlatform.exe to upgrade the config file (set the screen standby time to 5min or more)!

Hopefully Bluboo will update the ROM to a fully working one, and with no malware, let's keep dreaming… Last time I buy a Bluboo phone, AND a presale phone!

Beware of the TWRP mentionned a few posts higher, it looks like a scamming website where they pretend to have the latest ROMs, aso.

CWM for the S1 found here on needrom seems to work, I have to re-install it now that I have flashed everything new to V10.

      Edit to my previous post:

      1) I was wrong, actually the V10 20170818 only gives fake proximity, using the touchscreen. I mean if you touch the screen somewhere on the upper left side and you keep the finger on it, it shows 0 cm distance. When you then take it off the screen, it shows 10 cm. So definitly NO proximity nor light sensor, Bluboo is lying about these feature -> overpriced!

      2) You can install and use CWM posted here, but for the moment you can't root the phone with it. Not with the included root fonction when you reboot the phone first time after using CWM, nor when you install SuperSU.zip from within CWM. Only way to root for now is using Magisk, but doesn't seem to be full root. I can't unistall system apps like scweather and freetouch, which seems to be malwares. They keep re-installing themself (maybe through another app..?)

Hey @vuche. When installing CWM, did you make a backup of NVRAM as they say above or did you simply download the file and flashed from fastboot? (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img)

    Hello enekhomh,

Sorry, I tryed so many things on this phone those last days that I don't remember everything…

It could have been a great device but they did it all wrong on Bluboo. I thought I'd try this phone when it was on presale, but it was a bad idea. It's my first bluboo AND my last! They did all it takes to kill a Brand, but I think they don't really care as they use those phone to pirate our data using the malware implemented. I never use those cheap chinese phones as my primary device unless I'm sure about their software. And here I'm sure it's all malware! Not possible to uninstall the malwares, even when rooted, they keep being reinstalled. Let's hope some developer brings us LineageOS or similar.

As for your question about CWM, I installed with it adb (fastboot you mentioned). With flashtools it doesn't flash recovery but preboot partition. Anyway I couldn't backup everything, it couldn't mount a partition, don't remember wich one.
