5.1.1 CM12.1 THL t100s v1.2.2 instructions
READ THIS CAREFULLY !!! – Updated: 15-09-2015 (updated with OEM THL kernel)
This ROM is a true Android 5.1.1 ROM, based on the CyanogenMod12.1 release tree. Xposed framework is included just for everybody who likes to add stuff to the ROM. Not needed anymore to disable the proximity sensor. Kernel updated with modified original 4.4.2 kernel from THL themselves.
You ABSOLUTELY need to have TWRP by SevenMaxs 2.7.1.1
I strongly suggest to do a Full Wipe, everything except SD-card and SD-EXT and USB-OTG
Screenshots are in Dutch, but ROM is 100% MultiLanguage, default is US English .
How to install:
- Make sure that TWRP 2.7.1.1 by SevenMaxs is installed !!! Otherwise you will get errors during flash.
- Boot into recovery mode
- Do a Full wipe (everything except SD-card and SD-EXT and USB-OTG)
- Install the ROM zip (cm-12.1_5.1.1_r16_THL_t100s_v1.2.2.zip)
- Do a Dalvik & cache wipe
- Restart and wait a minute or two …
Fixed:
- Proximity sensor now 100% functional again
- Bluetooth works 100% (NOT tested A2DP)
- Build.prop modification: ril.telephony.mode=1 for more stablity
- Xposed framework is not 100% necessary anymore, install if you like …
- NFC added and works 100%
- FM radio (not tested myself)
- Wifi drops workaround … go to Settings > Wifi > Advanced (upper rigth corner dots) and toggle Wifi during sleep to 'Never' and back to 'Always' but should be a lot better already.
- MTP default enabled to make your phone show up when you attach it to a PC via USB cable.
After reinstalling all your favorite apps I suggest to do a manual reboot, for maximal stability purposes.
Known bugs:
- Video camera doesn't run, use Videocam Illusion v1.5 , which has a bugfix for Lollipop
- USSD doesn't work, use USSDDualWidget app for this.
- Random reboot issue sometimes occurs due to battery_controller issues it seems
- A2DP Bluetooth protocol
… No spontaneous reboot yet, but not yet tested intensively.

Another problem I have found.
I call my voice mail and the screen goes black and I can't get it to come back on so I can enter the numbers to control the voice mail system!
try to press the power button to turn on the screen
I tried the power button, but the hard keys at the bottom of the screen just flashed, but the screen stayed black.
I thought I'd try again, so I rebooted my phone and called the voice mail service and had exactly the same problem.

For those suffering from looping boot animation, please do ALL the wipes stated in the instructions. That solves it.
I have issues with the data conmection losses. Seems when it switches back from wifi mobile cannot reconnect. I need to switch on-off radio through airplane mode or engineer mode.
By the way MTK engineer mode is missing.
Gps, magnetic sensors are crap, but this is the same in all ROMs. I’m certain that the receiver is sized too small so mobile data interferes with gps signal. I use an external gps receiver and sleep well since then
Fm radio and built in music player does not work.
Some shutdowns randomly. Suspect the battery controller behind as after one the battery showed some 30% although it was fully charged. At least it stayed on 30% for a while
Please continue improvement. My phone is better than ever even with these hickups.

I've noticed one more thing:
I can't change mobile data from SIM1 to SIM2.. it will "unmount" both Sim-cards and reset the setting back to SIM1. Not even physical swap of the SIM cards did not help.
as there is not progress for a longer time period, I'm returing to Nikoz 4.4 sp4
