Official ROM Cubot X17S Version: CUBOT_X17_S_5092C_1_V01_20160305 – full_sf6735_65c_l1-user 5.1 LMY47D
Gapps include – No Rooted
Language support: Multilang
Install ROM:
Install with SP MDT:
1). Turn off the smartphone. Cable is not connected to the computer.
2). Remove the battery and insert it again
3). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The operating system detects a new device
4). Disconnect the cable from the computer.
5). Run SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe
6). Choose File> Open File Agent download and specify the file MTK_AllInOneDA.bin (it is in the folder SP_MDT).
7). Click Scatter File and select the MT6735_Android_scatter.txt file (it's in the folder with the rom).
8). Click "Start all".
9). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The program should see and blink. If the phone is not detected, then unplug it from the computer,
remove and insert the battery (if the battery is removable) and reconnect it to the computer.
10). After (OK) click Stop and disable any phone.
11). Completed.

When I open up the SP MDT tool i get a "read login mode failed error"
I used another version of the SP tool now i'm getting this error after clicking on scatter file "I am receiving error message: COM ports number repetitive or invalid, Brom and Preloader have the same comport number"
Is this rom clean of malware as the one mynphone came with has 2 unremovalable ones. Also quite a few apps are not compatible in play store such as UK banking apps.
To answer my own question it still has malware in this official rom which is a disgrace! Shame on Cubot.
Has anyone found a way to root the x17s yet?
I have tried rooting the X17s without success. Has anyone rooted the phone and can you share the methodused, step by step?
Install TWRP V04 of x17(it works) then flash supersu. Post your results
He conseguido el root en mi x17s, instalando el TWRP version 4 del x17, despues con este TWPR montando sistem y borrando de la carpeta system\app lo que dicen que es malware que son antkeyboard, y las tres carpetas de opera a continuacion wipe de data, cache y darwik. Hecho esto reinicio un arranque normal y copio en el telefono BETA-SuperSU-v2.71 de https://download.chainfire.eu/.....932 , apago y reinicio en TWRP, monto system, hago un wipe de data, cache y darwik cache, instalo el supersu v2.71 y sin limpiar nada mas reinicio el telefono y todo funciona sin problema.
He probado varias versiones del superSU sin exito y con esta me funcionó a la primera y sin problemas, supongo que tambien servira para el X17 porque en el mio he intalado las dos versiones del x17 pero la oficial solo lo pude rootear con laBeta supersu v2.71
