if you prefer 2.0 and need gestures, you only have to override the settings.apk from 2.0 with the one from 1.9 for example.
only unzip the roms and change the apk, then rezip and flash. but with underclock kernel i have quit good battery life on 2.1
I already applied the undervoltage on v2.1 but I still get the feeling 2.0 was more battery friendly. Maybe it’s only me >_< (doesn’t matter anyway it’s only around ~45min. more SOT)

2.0 version is more batttery friendly, finally gestures in rom is irelevant. You can easily set it on your own. Back to 2.0. The best one so far, at least in my opinion.
If you flash p48 modem and underclocked kernel its the same battery performance in latest ROM. Maybe better
2.0 version have serious problem with gps..in greece only?..i check it twice..with 2.1 version problem solved
Gesture is a must have to wakeup phone, as long double tap is not supported

cause the p37 didn’t make any difference. I had to major Bluetooth crashes now in my car 
Someone had a dirty fix so you don’t need to reboot phone after crashing. Don’t remember who? Some kind of app to restart Bluetooth
it makes a difference for me cause with p51 i had gps problems..
please leave modem on p37

Yes it does, but you need to set data to on or maybe disconnect wifi
