Install ROM:
Install with SP MDT:
1). Turn off the smartphone. Cable is not connected to the computer.
2). Remove the battery and insert it again (if the battery is removable)
3). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The operating system detects a new device
4). Disconnect the cable from the computer.
5). Run SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe
6). Choose File> Open File Agent download and specify the file MTK_AllInOneDA.bin (it is in the folder SP_MDT).
7). Click Scatter File and select the MT6580_Android_scatter.txt file (it's in the folder with the rom).
8). Click "Start all".
9). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The program should see and blink. If the phone is not detected, then unplug it from the computer,
remove and insert the battery (if the battery is removable) and reconnect it to the computer.
10). After (OK) click Stop and disable any phone.
11). Completed.

The official Rom threw me straight to a HARD BRICK !! luckily was able to recover but still that shit was hard bro

I think that the "ROM 2" firmware is for a different hardware variant hense the S2609B & the statement "Not compatible with ROM 1"
Which may explain why it bricked your X6.
okey but what does that mean ? it's still for doogee X6 ! or is there different versions of the doogee X6 ? (not talking about the X6 pro of cours )

I tried the Rom2. I made the checksum file. "Start all" began and immediately stopped with fail error. 1) COM ports number repetitive or invalid 2)Brom and preloader have same comport number! Please modify them in ini filee and scan again. Anyone know what to do?
OK. I went through the Port-checksum document and set the ini file for the numbers shown. This gets me past that error message but still does not run. Must have to set something else. At any rate, this site is basically the development of Android 6. Will this eventually be placed on Doogee servers for automatic download through our phones using the update in settings? I got this site off the Doogee X6 page in the answers at the bottom.
I guess my phone has to connect with my desktop using com4 on the desktop. I can't understand the document's explanation. So how do I know which usb cable connection leads to com4?
Use the device manager if you are on pc
Thanks ntouris. I thought it was the device manager but I wasn't sure. I discovered that the drivers install okay but they immediately disconnect. When I look in device manager, they have disconnected already although the message I saw as the phone driver installed said all was okay. I discovered this by watching device manager as I connected the phone. It stays connected maybe 10 seconds at most. Forget Windows 10. The drivers don't work. I have tried this in Windows 7 on two different machines as well as Vista. Anyone else having this problem and how did you solve it? Do I need to use XP?
i update my X6 with Windows 10 and the anniversary built .. so yes you can install it with windows 10 , just install the driver from samsung in the device manage (MTP drivers ) when you want to acces the device .
