Hi All,
This is my first Post on this site. I moved from the Samsung Phone to one of the many Chinese Android phones. I'm happy with these phone (and this site was of great help to me in updated my first Chinses phone (THL W11). I recently purchaesed the Elephone P8 (another great phone). I've been watching the net for any new rom and I today I found a link from gizmochina for new Android 4.4.2 ROMs for multiple Elephone devices (P6, P7 mini, P8 and P9). Here is the link for all ROM published by Baidu:

(Best to copy the text of the link for the phone you are looking for and open it in a new browser tab – clicking most of the links take you to the P7mini rom).
I have included the link for the P8 rom. I haven't tested it as yet.
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM
This can be install only with sp flash tool. This rom can't be install in recovery mode. My advise is before you install this rom make recovery and patched boot files. Then change them with orginal files and make firmare upgrade.
This rom works perfect on Goophone N3+.
Anyone can tell me how install this kitkat for my p8? i wanna install this, but i'm not a good in the programs-game..
Use SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1352.01. Change download mode to firware upgrade and do it as You see on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?.....v=5hl-Tpf6WTE

hi. i was trying to flash this rom (kitkat) on my new P8, but somehow it doesn't boot.
I had it rooted, but that was it. It was trying to finish step n.6 of the upgrade guide that it came with mtk droid tools, witch was the "Read Back Rom", but every time i tried (about 8 times), it stoped before it reached 70%.
When i gave up, inserted the battery on the phone and nothing when i press the power button.
The front red led light turns on when the phone is connected to PC without battery, but thats it.
Can anyone please help me, please?

Well, I decided to install directly without a backup and all went well, wicht end up my problem.
4.4.2 finally installed, but some bugs must be taken into account apart from those already mentioned by our friends. The one that i think is anoyng is the fact that it loses wi-fi signal to often to simply acept it. Don't you think so?

I installed it a week ago and holds up well, but there are a few bugs.
1. Lock screen can not be changed image it leads to error.
2. When you're with originality Covers when opening it is not unlocked automatically as before and remains locked.
These are obvious bugs I have not stressed the other of his works well and so far I have not found any major errors. So you can install it without worrying.
The phone will work perfectly
root ur phone and move agoldwallpaper* from /system/apps to /system/priv-app
remove uuplay.apk from /system/apps !!!
