Hi All,
This is my first Post on this site. I moved from the Samsung Phone to one of the many Chinese Android phones. I'm happy with these phone (and this site was of great help to me in updated my first Chinses phone (THL W11). I recently purchaesed the Elephone P8 (another great phone). I've been watching the net for any new rom and I today I found a link from gizmochina for new Android 4.4.2 ROMs for multiple Elephone devices (P6, P7 mini, P8 and P9). Here is the link for all ROM published by Baidu:

I have included the link for the P8 rom. I haven't tested it as yet.

Hi, Am new to the forum and to Android OS. I have an Elephone P8 that I may have inwittingly bricked'ish. I had symlinked my apps and was told to reboot. Did, got through the first boot screen, after that just a faint glow and nothing and nothing and more nothing. I have managed through the phone buttons do a force reset and clear the cache etc hoping that would work but no luck. I was hoping that maybe a flash ROM from the PC may help. Any ideas gratefully accepted as am an inept amateur who managed to survive rooting the P8 etc, then some stupid symlink does this, anyway any ideas Guys…
I have bricked my elephone p8, I tried this rom as instructed but after the flashing completed the phone is useless as it is not working anymore, no power, no charging and can not flash again as its not recognised by the computer usb, i hear the usb connection beep but nothing from device manager… please help

I am experinced repair technician and found a solution to recover a bricked Elephone P8. It was a bit luck and took me more than 10 hours to find this solution.
First of all I wasn't sure what is in my hand. I had nothing to loose, so I uploaded (format all + download) a P8 PRO ROM.
The phone started, but the displpay wasn't working. It was green and was not refreshing. If you see it you will know what am I talking about.
At this point I finally could upload any P8 ROM (format all + download). This was what actually worked (and none other).

Finally you have to restore your IMEI numbers with MAUI META.
