Ele Team Phone is proud to present the ROM ETP V1.5 Stock Edition

Based on the last clean kitkat from our P8, this ROM is a mix of different kitkat roms from another MTK. It includes the next features:
- Rooted by Koush
- Busyboxed
- Deodexed
- Aroma installer with lot of options. Slim or full version, you choose.
- Added Init.d Support
- Added Build.prop tweaks to improve performance, scroll, camera quality and battery life
- Added Init.d Tweaks
- Added a fix for bad IMEIS. Just select it in the AROMA installer.
- Custom repartition: 3, 7, 10 or 14Gb for Data
- Pngs optimized
- OTA Updater
- Custom S-view
- Vipper4andoid added for great sound enhancement (thanks to ViPER520 and zhuhang (http://vipersaudio.com/blog/)
- Support for Xposed and GravityBox
- Free of unusseful stuff

Transform your Elephone P8 in a nexus device (or almost) with this wonderful edition. Yo can choose two versions, FULL one with all the stuff of google, and MICRO one, with the minimun apps to enjoy the features of Google Now Launcher and the "Ok Google" words. Of course, this version holds all tweaks of custom one
SLIM EDITION
Light, very light, and amazing fast. Free of almost all of "non-basic" apps and libs, this version works flawlesly, and it's battery last longer
Although this, aroma lets you choose some basic stock apps, as email, browser, or file explorer
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
This is an unofficial rom, so install it under your own responsability
From a custom recovery, copy the zip to exzternal SD card and install zip as usual. Do not wipe in the recovery, there is an option in the aroma to do them inside. If you make the wipes before, some fixs, like IMEI one, will not work. Reboot after installation. The first boot can take a long time, be pacient, it will worth!
TIPS & ADVICES
On first time setup, you can suffer an Google TTS FC. Don't worry, TTS working perfectly, it's only in the first time
If, in the first setup, setupwizard don't ask you about your google account, go back to WiFi selection Screen and select it again. This is very important in Google Edition.
The ZIP is almost 840Mb. Remember that contains 3 ROMS in one zip
Even though the Betatester make a titanic work, due to lots of combination of this ROMS, you can find any BUG. If you find any, please, contact me to solve it as fast as we could
Maybe you will need to update some apps, like Superuser, google keyboard and search. This is normal adn you don't need to worry
When you update superuser app, binaries must be updated also. You can install it from the app via recovery or left it as was before. Both ways keep sudo working
Sometimes, aroma and recovery fight each other. This means that installation cannot be correct or you cqan suffer some FCs. If this happens, reinstall the ROM without wipes, and all be fine again
Xposed framework is not activated by default. Install it from app if you want
If your device come with JellyBean in the first boot, you can probably lost IMEIS. Simply check the option in aroma and you will not need to restore them manually. If in the first boot imeis continue lost, reboot your phone
ETP V1.5 STOCK EDITION
Changelog:

- Fixed random silent crashes on Google Maps
- IMEIS restauration script modified to keep working even though you repartition internal sd (check this option during installation)
PLEASE, UPDATE TO THIS VERSION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IN ORDER TO PROVIDE YOU UPDATES DIRECTLY
You can update the rom without wipes if you install same flavor (slim to slim, google to google, etc…)

The reason I use this rom is because it was the only one where I didn't have google play crashing all the time. So you should be good.

ETP ROM is great and i love it.
I have one problem, and it was present on ETP and N2K1 KK+L ROM
The issue is:
Gmail or Exchange Mail sound notification after playing sound makes noise and then phone sound not working and phone becomes very laggy.
After restart everything is back to normal until next sound notification of gmail or Exchange mail app.
If I remove sound notification for those apps, phone works perfectly.
Other than that sound works fine in music player, Viber, phone call…
It is definitely not a hardware problem, but problem in Email and Gmail apps (sound notification part)
I installed "Nine – exchange activesync" and sound notifications works perfectly, phone works perfectly.
What could be the problem?
How to solve this?

I found the solution:
Uninstalled Gmail and Email apks, and install Gmail from PlayStore, and Email apk from this link:

and now both apps works OK with sound notifications.

I am experiencing some random silent crashes with Google Maps while navigating. Using the very latest version of Google Maps and Play Services, and my location settings are enabled for Google. Anyone else got this problem?
There is no feedback about this in any forum. Maybe can be a problem of Google Maps itself? I remember days ago, Worked a lot trying to fix Youtube (not connecting to google account) and i was a google issue, not rom related…

But I have one problem. I installed this ROM about two week ago, everything works perfectly. One day with no reasons all notifications souns stop work, including alarm. N7 player and youtube works fine, but all notifications dont work.
So, I completely reinstalled ROM, 1-2 days works fine but after one night, no notification and alarm sound again:-( Phone restart dont solve this problem.
Any idea how I can repair it? Thanks again for great work
Do you know how to do a logcat? If you can, try to do anything with sound and send me a logcat of the problem.
Anyway, next release of the ROM is being actually tested. IF you wait a little, you can try this new version…

New version, same problem. But now I know when the sound stop working. Onde day, I plugged phone to PC because of some file transfer. Whned I unplugged phone, sound stop working. Now, if I plug phone to PC or on AC adapter, sound works untyl I unplugged phone again. Strange
Btw, 1.4 is better than 1.2 and still best ROM for this phone

I am using the “Slim Edition” for couple of days now ang having some trouble. Some files or folders on the external sd card can not be modified/deleted even those, I just created. Also usb drives, mounted in /storage/usbotg are showed empty, but I can see it was mounted in that exact folder trough a widget showing free and occupied space. Any suggestions please.
PS: Sometimes managing files/folders works.
The usb – problem shows when mounted partition is ‘ntfs’ mounted by “Paragon” software from the play store. On the ‘ETP V1.2 there was no such problem.
I am sorry to spaming the tread, but I just find out that the problems I have exists in all Kitkat roms. From what I saw on the various forums it appears that there is no solution. It is a Kitkat issue. I am going back to Jellybean.
