Ele Team Phone is proud to present the ROM ETP V1.5 Stock Edition

Based on the last clean kitkat from our P8, this ROM is a mix of different kitkat roms from another MTK. It includes the next features:
- Rooted by Koush
- Busyboxed
- Deodexed
- Aroma installer with lot of options. Slim or full version, you choose.
- Added Init.d Support
- Added Build.prop tweaks to improve performance, scroll, camera quality and battery life
- Added Init.d Tweaks
- Added a fix for bad IMEIS. Just select it in the AROMA installer.
- Custom repartition: 3, 7, 10 or 14Gb for Data
- Pngs optimized
- OTA Updater
- Custom S-view
- Vipper4andoid added for great sound enhancement (thanks to ViPER520 and zhuhang (http://vipersaudio.com/blog/)
- Support for Xposed and GravityBox
- Free of unusseful stuff

Transform your Elephone P8 in a nexus device (or almost) with this wonderful edition. Yo can choose two versions, FULL one with all the stuff of google, and MICRO one, with the minimun apps to enjoy the features of Google Now Launcher and the "Ok Google" words. Of course, this version holds all tweaks of custom one
SLIM EDITION
Light, very light, and amazing fast. Free of almost all of "non-basic" apps and libs, this version works flawlesly, and it's battery last longer
Although this, aroma lets you choose some basic stock apps, as email, browser, or file explorer
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
This is an unofficial rom, so install it under your own responsability
From a custom recovery, copy the zip to exzternal SD card and install zip as usual. Do not wipe in the recovery, there is an option in the aroma to do them inside. If you make the wipes before, some fixs, like IMEI one, will not work. Reboot after installation. The first boot can take a long time, be pacient, it will worth!
TIPS & ADVICES
On first time setup, you can suffer an Google TTS FC. Don't worry, TTS working perfectly, it's only in the first time
If, in the first setup, setupwizard don't ask you about your google account, go back to WiFi selection Screen and select it again. This is very important in Google Edition.
The ZIP is almost 840Mb. Remember that contains 3 ROMS in one zip
Even though the Betatester make a titanic work, due to lots of combination of this ROMS, you can find any BUG. If you find any, please, contact me to solve it as fast as we could
Maybe you will need to update some apps, like Superuser, google keyboard and search. This is normal adn you don't need to worry
When you update superuser app, binaries must be updated also. You can install it from the app via recovery or left it as was before. Both ways keep sudo working
Sometimes, aroma and recovery fight each other. This means that installation cannot be correct or you cqan suffer some FCs. If this happens, reinstall the ROM without wipes, and all be fine again
Xposed framework is not activated by default. Install it from app if you want
If your device come with JellyBean in the first boot, you can probably lost IMEIS. Simply check the option in aroma and you will not need to restore them manually. If in the first boot imeis continue lost, reboot your phone
ETP V1.5 STOCK EDITION
Changelog:

- Fixed random silent crashes on Google Maps

PLEASE, UPDATE TO THIS VERSION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IN ORDER TO PROVIDE YOU UPDATES DIRECTLY
You can update the rom without wipes if you install same flavor (slim to slim, google to google, etc…)

Thanks for this great rom! I installed the SLIM version and have to say that it is the smoothest rom that I have used. So, hats off!
As a sidenote, has anyone found a "solution" for the weird battery behaviour of the P8 (around 55% charge, reboot and the charge drops to almost zero, approximately 5%) ?

I have no solution but I to exsperience this problem with this rom. Also OTA Updater issues but that's probably my fault.
There is no solution for this battery problem. It's related to fuel gauge and cannot be solved through a ROM.
Some people say that there is an app called "battery doctor" that can improve this, but, in my case, this also didn't work
Wonderful rom. Smoothness reminds me of cyanogenmod 11. Keep up thw good work!

Battery Problems?? I applied the battery fix from N2K1 found here…….. http://n2k1.com/n2k1/Sesonn_N9...../lk_install.zip And that seems to have fixed it. I'll leave another reply or edit this one if the problem returns.
That's very strange. Lk from N2k1 is included in the rom so, I afraid that your problems aren't be solved, mate

It's a shame really, it's a beautifully smooth rom. The battery meter is the only fault I have found so far (I sorted my OTA trouble, it was me being deluded as per usual ). I will try the battery doctor thing but I expect it only fixes the issue until the next time it happens :S

i have try all roms for this phone but i have one strange problem. when i am connected on work router the phone works fine but when i connect to my home's router the phone after 20-30 minutes while in sleep mode stays connected to the router but without internet the wifi bars become white becose i have no internet and no connection to google. every other device in home even my old android phone works good without problems. i have try to add static ip and dns but the problem stays. please help becose i need viber and skype always on
this seems to me like the stock rom with a few pros – the slim version is really slim, which is good, you can replace the stupid diamonds S-view image with one of the provided set, which looks better and the PhilZ recovery is awesome as well. Had problems with root, but there's and option right in there to reroot and then you need to install the SuperSU app from the store.
GMaps problem still persists, maps force close after a while of running.
What I see a greater problem is that the phone keeps shutting down about 3 – 5 times a day, haven't yet found what triggered by
OTA updates are present in settings, haven't done anything yet, seems good.
Option to change the elephant background image would be appreciated – when it is not the stock one, let me decide what I want to see everytime I go to settings
The shutting problem aside, this the best P8 ROM I have found (and I think I've tried them all, had even a soft brick a few times)
You can change the elephant background image, just open the zip and change it, before you copy it to the external SD card
ROM working great, but I have 2 gripes with it right now:
1) Confirmed that GMaps still crashes
2) Blue elephant logo appears in too many places like spam. Any way to make it look more stock? Especially the background for Settings
