Install ROM:
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery.
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM
what am i doing wrong, keep gettin incorrect scatter file?
Got it solved: too many folders or something, copied files to folder on desktop and now it works

I Believe these are the release notes, transalted by Google…. I am downloading now so not sure how good the update is, will post back once tested.

When I connect the phone with the USB without the battery to flash the rom it is not recognised by windows (I have Win 7) and therefore I cannot go ahead with the process.
Any suggestion? Drivers?

Maybe try a different cable? Mine detected it fine…
3G still not workign properly (drops out all the time on a 900/2100 network)
Camera not working at all for me, nor are third party camera apps
that may be because 900 mhz is not supported on this model (as on many mtk6589 devices).

Hi. I have Faea f2s. Can you help me how to install the rom? I am an amateur. Once I brick my phone. I do not have CWM recovery. I only Android system recovery. Ext SD card not only sees the internal memory.

I tried using mobile uncle, or direct android update menu at startup… sam result:
"upgrate aborted" during flashing–> This upgrade is corrupted….
