DESCRIPTION
Download and Install Framaroot and mtk mobile uncle tools..
Place the recovey.img anywhere in sdcard
Steps:-
1) Root your Device if not rooted. open framaroot and try all three exploits, most of the time the third one will work
2) After restarting your device your phone will be rooted. Open mtk mobile uncle tools (Grant root access to the app) in that go to Recovery update… It will search the sdcard for recovery. Select the ctr recovery which you downloaded ( if you have trouble finding it then match the right filesize)
3) Once done, ctr is installed.. Switch off your phone.. to open or go to recovery mode press and hold VOLUME_UP+POWER_BUTTON once you see gionee logo release power_button but not volume_up button.
Note:
To Scroll across the files in ctr recovery swipe right/left on the space just above the soft navigation keys
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM

sir after downloaded GIONEE P3 CTR RECOVERY when i extract it then message comes it is not a valid archive, i have downloded this file 3-4 times but every time same problem comes.
Did I tell you to extract it? Download all files and Just do what is said

A lot thnx to u. I have successfully flash the CTR by mobile uncle tool. while backup of rooted stock rom/nandroid backup, it is failed due to the phone storage is only 371mb by company. There is no option to backup/restore in external sdcard.
Pls help me how can I do that without pc by custom recovery?
It creates a backup in your sdcard if it’s there. If not there it creates a backup on your phone storage. The stock ROM for p3 is approximately 1gb you need sdcard to take backup..
What I can do with 371 mob of storage

ctr is better I guess because it provides touch navigation.
flash battery_fix.zip for z rom battery life will improve.
