DESCRIPTION
This rom is for GT-i9500 device with MTK 6572 cpu and 1-otm8012a_fwvga LCD IC device. Cleaned from chinese stuff and rooted. Does not contain an IMEI so you have to use MTK Droid Tools 2.4.5 to write your own IMEI
Approved to be working with SP Flash Tool v3.13228.0.183
Steps:
1- Connect phone and install MTK USB Drivers (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206421)
2- Open SP Flash tool and choose scatter file from rom folder
3- Format device using Memory Test NAND Flash Test (inorder Flash_tool to see your phone you should take out battery and re-insert to continue, for the first time windows may stall you because of the MT65xx preloader driver installation) when you see green circle it means you can continue to step 4
4- Click Download (again take out your phone battery and re-insert it) at green circle you're finished installing rom
5- unplug usb and take out battery, re-insert it and turn on the phone
6- open MTK Droid Tool 2.4.5 and plug usb, when MTK Droid Tool 2.4.5 identifies your phone you may now continue to write your IMEI using Replace IMEI button
7- dial #*#94#*# inorder to set GT-i9500 boot and shutdown animations

Hello everybody!
What is happening with my USB VCOM Port? As yours can see in the video, I plug the S4-MT6572 usb with the phone switched off and without battery. Then the USB VCOM Port are identified, but then they disappear, even without removing the usb cable… and this is repeated ever and ever…
PS: All device drivers have been installed

this rom doesnt have WCDMA yet the phone has WCDMA what is wrong with the ROM i have failed to understand

No Network No Signals No Service
i flashed this rom and i dont have my previous original rom's backup. After flashing this rom every thing is ok, lcd, wifi,and google play store everything is ok, i have repaird nvram and imei is also ok and original. only the problem is "it is only gsm and can not be changed to wcdma, but my network is also gsm only so i dont need to worry about it too.
Phone can detect the sim card but can not find any network, (no Service) No network signals.
any help shall be highly appreciated.

i flashed this rom but no network service, and this rom is not wcdma it is only gsm, how to solve no mobile network sevice, wlan wifi is ok but gsm signals not available.
its because of the imei was lost , try to enter imei number with MTKdroid tool , root it first with that too and change the imei, u can find tutorials on youtube about how to restore ur emei bro, sorry for bad english

I formated whole flash and I think I put preloader in bad situation ! BUT my MTK USB port is in Device Manager Yettt.
my phone doesnt seem to be alive…
but if my only chance is that my PC see it yet.

BUT the suprise is that my mtk smart phone was dead ! no re-action to any of its buttons!!!
I read some where that if I had a good Rom for my phone
after clicking DOWNLOAD button on Flash Tools I should hold down the volume Up button (on phone) and simoltainously that time connect the cable to PC. the other important point was that I place battery in the phone ! and without the battery It didnt work.
when i click DOWNLOAD and then put the battery in the phone and hold down the Volume Up button and connect the cable. after a while I suddenly saw its downloading your ROM…
AND at the End :
please pay attention ROMs are different some of them are for NAND memory phones (like above Rom) and some others are for EMMC memory phones.
If you download a NAND and your phone is EMMC it will die ! and if download EMMC and your phone is NAND , it will die too.
and if you are to format your rom NEVER format Whole device!!! just format Except Preloader !!!
deleting Preloader will kill your phone …
