I flashed my HaiPai Note 2 last night without any problems.  And the auto rotation seems to be working fine.  I used Titaniam (root) to backup and  restore my apps and data.  The only problem I had was with the restore, in that it wanted to put everything into local memory and not my SD card.  So, I had to manually move those things.   I added the "GO Launcher" and it works well.  (I'm using the standard english version from the Play Store, but the Chinese version is better or at least looks visually better,  but you have to deal with some Chinese characters here and there).
