Install ROM :

With Flashtools  " Recovery 1 "

- Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in Recovery 1
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
   –> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery.

- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !

- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

OR

CWM " Recovery 2 "

1) Download the custom ROM copied to an external SD card root directory
2) Download the recovery.img ( put in your SD card )
3) Start MobileUncle Tools ( Download on Goolge play )
4) Select Update Recovery ( choose recovery.img )
5) Mobile reboot in CWM and follow the instructions( if recovery is in chinese look tutorial "CWM for MTK Platform" )
               Into the recovery:
            – Wipe Data / Factory Reset -> delete all user data
            – Wipe Cache Partition -> Wipe cache
- Return to recovery main interface Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> Select your ROM
- Brush complete, restart the phone Patience required – first boot takes a while

    Works fine, like the layout only drawback is the camera app, only gives resolution of 6 MP.

    If that was fixed i would run this for a while

    sorry but what's the difference between x7 plus elite, and the x7 elite?

    Mine is a x7 elite (1.5, 2 gb ram 32gb) and as tittle  says  "iOCEAN X7-X7 Plus Elite", I'm not sure about the compatibility…

    The best ROM of all avalaible to date (26/07/2013)

    I have only one issue with a pop up that appears "system UI has been stopped" when I am using data roaming ("Free" opérator in France) …

    When I toggle on  data roaming, Status bar disappear warn me pop up "system UI has been  stop"
    I think there's a conflict betweens data roaming and status bar

    for the record I am using dual SIM)

    Please suggest which one I should install for my X7 Elite, 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM – need stable and quick GPS, stable ROM, smooth scroll, and all bloatware removed. Suggestions welcome !

    Socrates / anyone else – I've downloaded 2 versions of the ROM for iOcean X7 Elite, 2GB/32GB from this site, but both of the zip's give an error "Cannot open this file…… does not appear to be a valid archive", even after I downloaded both of them twice over - please help !
