Install ROM :

With Flashtools  " Recovery 1 "

- Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in Recovery 1
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
   –> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery.

- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !

- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

OR

CWM " Recovery 2 "

1) Download the custom ROM copied to an external SD card root directory
2) Download the recovery.img ( put in your SD card )
3) Start MobileUncle Tools ( Download on Goolge play )
4) Select Update Recovery ( choose recovery.img )
5) Mobile reboot in CWM and follow the instructions( if recovery is in chinese look tutorial "CWM for MTK Platform" )
               Into the recovery:
            – Wipe Data / Factory Reset -> delete all user data
            – Wipe Cache Partition -> Wipe cache
- Return to recovery main interface Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> Select your ROM
- Brush complete, restart the phone Patience required – first boot takes a while

    Ok Thanks Limbo – but I have another problem – none of the Rooting apps are working on my Stock Rom – comes up with an error which basically says there's a problem with the read/write permissions – any special instructions for flashing the ROM without root permission ?

    Thanks Limbo045 – finally managed to flash the ROM – against your advice I flashed Lewa ROM – it's great, except for 2 things – 1. like you said, the camra goes only to 6 MP – any idea if someone is working on a fix/update for this ?; and 2) the GPS just won't lock ! Tried it several times – even using some utilities from PlayStore, which set up the A-GPS for my region, but no luck – any advice, since I use the GPS all the time, and it would be silly to carry my old phone just for this…

    Limbo045 – finally managed to flash a new ROM – went for the LEWA – works great, except for 2 things – 1. As you said, Camera is limited to 6 MP – i can live with that, until an update patch comes throug (Q – is that anywhere on the horizon?); and 2) GPS just dooes not get locked – tried outdoors for over an hour yesterday without any luck. Also AndroidTS GPS Test app installs correctly – but does not load – gives an error – "Unfortunately, ……., has stopped." 

    Any ideas here ?

    GPS is a problem on most devices with this chipset.

    For root problems try to flash a supersu update zip, helped in my case.

    As for update I really don't know but the new Miui rom is really nice but you have to flash a gapps package for gmail

    Hy. This is the rom for 16 and 32 gb version. My phone is plus model but when i go to storage it only say 1.45 total memory so I dont now what version to install. The phone has turbo procesor and 13mpx camera as the turbo model but it in the back of the baterry is writen plus 16gb but it is not the 16gb. Is any of you have the same problem. I dont wont to instal plus room and have the deed phone.

      Format your phone storage and it will read 16 gb approximal, happens sometime when flashing but first try to save your date because it will be wiped

    Internal storage is not your phone storage that number is ok for 2 gb version

    This is the plus model and it must have the 16gb of phone internal memory. I tried to wipe all data to phone recovery, i tried to erease phone data from setting but the internal storage is every time 1.45 gb total.

    After doing erease from phone setting and "restart the phone" the phone now say correct 12,2gb total memory size. Thanks Limbo045 for advice. Other usser have the same problem with this device. I will share it over the net. tnx
