ROM Install :
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6582_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone.
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM
Anyone was able to root in the latest version? Ive tried every method but failed to root
use MTK droid tools, create CWM Recovery by using the original Firmware you can download here.
MTK droid tools then modifies boot and recovery and saves them in the recovery folder.
Now you have to use SP flash tool to flash the modyfied boot and recovery aaaaaaaaaaaaand youve got root.
Thanks Lupusworax for the answer.. Ive read that already but it seemed a little complicated to do.. Creating scatter files etc…. I didnt want to brick the phone. Ive send my unit back tough i love it..but no root no party.:) ill wait for another update with root hopefully… And then buy again the phone. Thanks again.
Apparently theres is a new oficial update in iocean.com version 1030.. Can someone please flash the update and see if there is root included.. Many thanks.

I had a few problems with my x8 mini.
1) First, there was a flickering vertical line in the middel of the screen. It was a number of flshing points, and they were really annoying. Howerver, the issue was solved after upgrade to 0903 and later versions.
2) wifi was extremely weak. I guess it was a design problem. I made a simple antenna using copper tape, and the signal strength was improved by 20db.
3) the third issue is that the phone is not picking GPS signals. I tried different antennas, and no signal is showing at all in GPS Tester. Now I doubt it is probably a software issue. Tried many solution from the internet, none of them worked.
