Instructions firmware: 1. Unpack the contents of the archive to your external SD-card in your phone. Extract "download.ldr" in the root of the card. (/mnt/sdcard) 2. Unplug USB cable, disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth autorotate, GPS etc and put your phone in airplane mode. And then set the screen timeout to 5 minutes or more. 3. Go to Settings – Display – at the bottom – update software touch screen. 4. DO NOT touch the screen. Wait patiently until the whole updated is done. (Blue line) if correct it will update version 13 to version 25. 5. Now reboot your phone and then calibrate the screen, go to Settings – Display -. Put the phone on a table or completely flat surface and click "calibrate". Again DO NOT toch the screen until the end of the calibration. 6. From the root of SD-card delete the file "download.ldr". WARNING. Updating the firmware touch screen is a dangerous procedure. All at your own risk. If you don't undertand don't upgrade.

Install ROM :

ROM Install : with Flashtool (you download file JIAYU G4H FL )

Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
Select a the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in ROM
Turn off your phone, remove the battery.

Press F9 (or hit Download button) and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
And green circles display
Finish !

You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

ROM Install : with update on sd card (you download file JIAYU G4H SD )

Card brush, set the software package two files into the T card root directory, as shown below:
(1) upgrade package: update.zip

- Enter the interface as shown below, click on the system upgrade interface shown in the figure appears, click on the down arrow to the right, appearing in interface begins upgrade

thanks to SoCr@Te and abaggie for their hard work in bringing the updates to us. i have a question on rom G4HG-20130706-153833 does anyone know how to put music on the removable sd card (sdcard1) ? after the update everything is now on the new phone memory (sdcard0). i have set in the settings > storage > default storage > sd card but that doesn't seem to do anything. my backups and music still goes to sdcard0. the music app doesn't recognize the mp3 files when i put them to sdcard1. thanks to anyone who can help.

  well i tried <group gid="media_rw" /> on the external storage but the apps still refuse to go to my sdcard1. looks like jiayu changed their minds and no longer want apps on the sd card. btw, after fixing permissions in clockworkmod the music app can read mp3 on sdcard1. hallelujah!

Guys I can't update the touch firmware, I don't have those options. At the bottom is only wireless display, can't find the update touch firmware option.

  there's no need to update touchscreen on the latest rom: "Touchscreen GPS, H3G and other applications are already installed and gains on tethering". anyway but you do need to calibrate touchscreen afterwards. so it stops at wireless display in settings > display and you are missing touchscreen calibration and touchscreen program updates on your g4?

  I didn't flash the latest ROM, I only wanted to update the touch firmware. So when I try to update, those options are missing. I have this version.

  not sure if you can use the fix for 515. on the description it says it's made for G4H-20130620-163509. maybe it can't be used for 515 idk

How do you install this rom, I tried it with changing the download file to update.zip , then I opend the app "update" and choosed it, but when it rebots and show like its doing the update, later when it rebot, the old rom is still ther. help!

Hello guys,my phone is currently running on Version: G4HG-20130706-153833 and it crashes quite often till to the extent of restarting,well everytime it crashes it will restart. This problem normally happens when i'm browsing pictures in stock gallery and using any application such as WeChat.One more thing, whenever i connect my phone via USB cable to a desktop pc the screen will be jumpy and go haywire like crazy.The question is, is it normal for such problems to occur or my phone is defective? Thanks in advance!
