Instructions firmware: 1. Unpack the contents of the archive to your external SD-card in your phone. Extract "download.ldr" in the root of the card. (/mnt/sdcard) 2. Unplug USB cable, disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth autorotate, GPS etc and put your phone in airplane mode. And then set the screen timeout to 5 minutes or more. 3. Go to Settings – Display – at the bottom – update software touch screen. 4. DO NOT touch the screen. Wait patiently until the whole updated is done. (Blue line) if correct it will update version 13 to version 25. 5. Now reboot your phone and then calibrate the screen, go to Settings – Display -. Put the phone on a table or completely flat surface and click "calibrate". Again DO NOT toch the screen until the end of the calibration. 6. From the root of SD-card delete the file "download.ldr". WARNING. Updating the firmware touch screen is a dangerous procedure. All at your own risk. If you don't undertand don't upgrade.

Install ROM :

ROM Install : with Flashtool (you download file JIAYU G4H FL )

Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
Select a the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in ROM
Turn off your phone, remove the battery.

Press F9 (or hit Download button) and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
And green circles display
Finish !

You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

ROM Install : with update on sd card (you download file JIAYU G4H SD )

Card brush, set the software package two files into the T card root directory, as shown below:
(1) upgrade package: update.zip

- Enter the interface as shown below, click on the system upgrade interface shown in the figure appears, click on the down arrow to the right, appearing in interface begins upgrade

hi all,
I have the G4H 20130620-163509 which came pre-installed and is also rooted. At first my phone had the touch screen problem(date & time settings page opened suddenly) and was frustrating so I tried re-calibrating the screen and I think it did worked for a few months it was "ok" without any more screen problems.
But now since yesterday that problem came out of nowhere! :/
I have tried updating the touch firmware and it was successful in the first try (*phew* :p) but the same problem exists. The updation was sucessful and I did restart my phone after the upgrade and then did a calibration as well :(
I have not tried to upgrade/flash any other ROM as I read through the comments here/on other forums as well that the touch firmware upgrade is for 20130620 (or the user should have the latest version)

Can anyone confirm a better ROM (which fixes the touch screen issue completely) for my Jiayu G4 basic 1gb RAM, 300mah battery version and does not have any battery/other major issues too?

I have the same problem. i need to calibrate my phone almost everyday. The problem its biger with others rom because they dont have touch calibration. I use also a app from google play ‘nook screen recalibration’ try if help you. But i dnt find yet permanent solution.

Battery backup seems kinda bad. 100% to 89% in 2hrs. Maybe it will be fixed after a few charges.

I was wrong, battery backup with latest g4h rom is awesome. I have 2 days 12 hours and 5h30min screen. Touch is a little better too. Great!

  Nu stiu cum e ala, am impresia ca touch-ul e mai prost in versiunea aia. S-a rezolvat problema cu touchscreen in LeWa OS5, dar la ala nu ii poti face OTA update daca flashuiesti gapps.

im having massive problems loading this rom on my phone. iv tried several versions and it keeps saying bad file. i wipe data, wipe cache in cwm and when i try to to load from .zip it wont let me. so i tried to wiipe delik cache wont let me. i cant seem to get it working and as for flashtools my laptop is being a retard and wont let reconise my device regardless of drivers (my phone that is) im screwed any advice on how to install via SD???
what steps am i missing?
