This ROM is draining the battery very hard. Dunno if I hit 24h time with 1h screen. Pfff.

my phone is almost dead. It kept repeatingly poping up some process has stopped. I can't access anything. What can i DO??!!
have problems with WiFi – nvram error 0×04:
the MAC address is OK (same as with the old ROM is used),WPA2 password is correct, too. Wanted to copy the files "wifi" and "wifi custom" from the old ROM (as suggested in several forums) but the file explorer doesn't have access to the internal memory where the files need to go. As I can't access playstore I can not install f.e. "es explorer" which would allow to copy the files to the correct location.
When trying a different custom ROM – same problem, so not specific for this MIUI ROM
Any ideas? would appreciate the help – thanx

Do not use the MIUI Over The Air update.
sta-s2z ROM is specialy improved/tweaked/modified for our beloved JIAYU phones!
sta-s2z is my friend on miui network
. He gave me haxed phone.apk to have 3g service switching before releasing this version.
About GPS not working
As i understand this next work around COULD solve your GPS problem.
Download this file called gps.zip from Jiayu.es (you need to login there)
The link: http://www.jiayu.es/desarrollo.....ANDROID/gps.zip
Basically you need to extract the 3 files from the zip into your /system/etc directory.
Overwrite the existing ones there.
If you use something that can handle read only files then your done.
Otherwise download from play store the root browser app.
With this app you can edit the permissions from the 3 files you need to overwrite (you can back them up if you like or delete them)
these are the ones im talking about:
gps.conf
epo-cof.xml
agps_profiles_conf.xml
When your done you need to get an new EPO (Extended Prediction Orbit)
Turn off GPS in your settings and ON again, it should say something like getting new epo…
This works for some people.

Battery life issues:
As i understand this has to do with the custom data that is implemented into the original Jiayu kernel.
This data needs to be rewritten in ROMS but Jiayu wont release the kernel source.
Until then were all stuck with weird draining batteries or not lasting the 3 days (with 3Amp. bat.) without a recharge like we had with the original ROM.
