Hi all 
This is the first REAL kitkat rom for zopo 980/990, is entirely (kernel and android) compiled by me from mediatek source
everythings works, only some minor bug are present…but it's only the first public release

09/10 – Ver 1.0.7
- Wifi Tweak (little improved speed and stability)
- Flash sync tweak
- Front camera up to 8MPX in Third-party app (only 3MPX in stock camera app)
- Radio FM app now works without headphone
- AROMA: mod for remove reboot option in powermenu
- AROMA: mod for install a new boot logo by aquilacd70
- AROMA: mod for switch back to use Superuser instead of Kinguser

- root : switched from superuser app to kinguser app
- vendor lib: updated the precompiled vendor lib
- wifi: different firmware files
- wifi: tweak some power parameters
- display: now in aroma you can select the display resolution (FullHD or HD). the HD resolution is nice for boost graphical speed in games
- kernel : fix for working softkey in HD resolution
some info about resolution HD and FULLHD
in the version 1.0.6 i have created a script for set the display resolution (and DPI) in HD or FULLHD.
HD resolution help a lots in games.
to change the resolution during the flash just activate (or deactivate) the option in aroma, enable if you want to use the HD resolution, disable if you want to use the FullHD.
every time you want to change the resolution just flash the rom with the option you want (you need flash because it is necessary to change the kernel depending on the resolution chosen)
There are 2 little problems:
- the first boot after changing the resolution (only the first time) there may be icons with wrong size (too big or too small) in the status bar and launcher, just reboot for fix
- at HD resolution the boot animation is correct, but a few seconds before completing the boot becomes huge, it's just a visual bug

know bug:
- camera stock show only 8MPX, with other app (camera360, google camera etc) u can select 13MPX
- the compass works but is not accurate as on JB
- the vibration is low compared to JB
- ART not work (for now…)

for enable/disable the function sweep2wake, doubletap2wake and pocket detect i have created a script.
just install a terminal emulator and write:
su
sets2w
and set to 0 what u want to disable
pocket detect use the proximity sensor for disable s2w/dt2w when phone is in pocket (or when the sensor is covered by something)
need this recovery to flash this rom, also need a full wipe (if u update from previous version u can wipe only cache and dalvik)
In aroma installer u can select if flash for zopo 980, 990 or C3
for 980 and 990 there is a 2 variant, A and B (differ only in the rotation of the screen)
try first with the A version, if screen in landscape mode is upside down reflash with the B version
there is also an alternative version with different proximity driver, if proximity sensor does not work try with this

Does anyone reached problems with screen rotation on Zopo C2 B?
On ROM version 1.0.7 screen is turning inversely in horizontal position.
Will be appreciated for any tip/solution for such a problem.

Initially everything worked fine. But now apps moved to “phone storage” dissapear from the honescreen after reeboot.
I’m using the A Version for ZP980.
I got an ZP980 wit 2/32 GB.
Can you help me?

Just installed your rom and I must say it is really good. Just having issue restoring my apps. Link2sd is unable to remount secondary partition and giving error:
“Mount Script cannot be created.
Mount: No Such device
Ext2 may not be supported on your device. Try fat32 on secondary partition ”
I’ve tried all ext2, ext3, ext4 & fat32/16 but no success.
Then it is giving following error:
” Mount script cannot be created.
Can’t umount /data/sdext2: invalid argument.”
And I believe that’s why I’m unable to use titanium backup.
Please help with solution. I am thankful for your ROM.

Found one more bug. There are two options for default installation of apps 1. Phone Storage 2. Sd Card.
I have selected Phone Storage as my default storage but after installation when I go to app info I get option to move the app to phone storage which is already in phone storage. And when I move it to phone storage then it changes to Move to Internal Storage. Not able to see move to sd card or external storage option. Think like this is a bug and maybe causing failure in mounting of link2sd second partition.
Please help me fixing this issue.
i have the same problem
I`m using kernel C7 A during flash process, and my proximity sensor works, but sensitivity is too weak so i can`t switch screen off during call – looking in engineering mode it shows “0″ when sensor is uncovered, “130″~”160″ when i cover it with my finger and “500″~”1023″(max) when i cover it with something reflective. The problem is that sensor sensor swithces off the screen when it is in state >”300″.
In stock 4.2JB ROM i have proximity sensor calibrated value in file located here: /sys/bus/platform/drivers/als_ps/psthd so i can manually change it or use init.d script for it.
In 1.0.7 KK ROM there is no such file psthd in /sys/bus/platform/drivers/als_ps, so i can`t do anything with value “300″, which is set up during boot as deafult sensitivity value (and as we remember it is too high, i need 90-100).
I have checked this file psthd in 2.8.0.0 recovery file manager and it is there, but after boot i can`t see it in /sys/bus/platform/drivers/als_ps
I tried many combinations of installation (over stock, or over custom rom, with full wipes etc) – no luck.
But after a week of fighting with this sensor i decided to try CM11 for Zopo (even it is more buggy for now). And after CM11 installation i found psthd file in its place /sys/bus/platform/drivers/als_ps! So in CM11 i can fix my proximity issue, and sensor works great!
Can somebody tell me – what must i do to have psthd file in its place after boot to overwrite it`s default value in this 1.0.7 KK ROM? I`ve tried to make changes in init.rc , but looks like this issue happens before init.rc processing and cannot be fixed by init.rc change. Any idea?
Hi, my zp980 C2 is not working stable with this room.
From time to time is freezing in sleep mode, and i cannot use it/power button is not responding. Only hard restart helps.
Does anyone is also facing this issue, any solution on this?

Hello,
first i installed the B Version, because, i thought i need it for my B-Version Zopo ZP980. I had the Problem, that the Screen Rotation didn't work right. But i was able to put the APPs on SD Card. When i restarted that Phone, the APP-Icons on Homescreen was deleted. How can i fix the Problem, that a Restart delete the Icons?
Because the fault Screen Rotation, i installed Version A on my Phone. Now the Rotation ist okay.
But i choose "Turn SD Card into Phone Storage" befor Installation… Cause i didn't liked that option, i tried a third Installation. Now i have the SD Card.
But another Problem appears:
The buttons (in Settings>Apps) to move them are called move to storage in phone, insted of move to sd card.
So i cannot move Apps to my SD Card. How can i change "move to storage in phone" into "move to SD Card"?
Most of the Problems was my fault.
