hey everybody, i flashed leagoos newest firmware (X5601_OTD_MYLEAGOO_E1_V0.7.6_S160506) which i downloaded from here: http://www.leagoo.com.my/suppo.....rt/firmware/. after that i flashed twrp custom recovery with sp-flashtool, everything went fine, phone boots ok. but as soon as i flash any superuser.zip or use twrps embedded script to gain root access i end up with a bootloop at reboot. i tried to use kingroot instead of flashing supersu, i got root ok, but after a reboot root access is gone – phone needs to be rooted again. i noticed that the oem unlock button in developer options flips back to "locked" after any reboot. maybe this is part of the problem… anyone facing the same problem? any solutions?

Hi krumi66, the official malaysian version is older than the XDA release X5601_OTD_ELITE_5365U_V1.6.3_S160602.

In my previous post here, I give the solution that is to uncheck the option "Scan device for security threats" in the "Security" item of the Google Settings application (not to be confused with Android Settings). It should solve your issue.

I have the same problem. Tried everything I could think of, different versions of SuperSU, different versions of ROM, even the thing xlv600 suggested. But no luck :(   So for now I am stuck with KingRoot. But for me the phone stays rooted even after reboot. Eventhough oem unlock button flips back to locked everytime.

So if anyone have any suggestions or solution, it will be greatly appreciated.

      Thank You

xlv600, thanks mate, unfortunately this does not really solve the problem for me. phone boots ok after flashing supersu when "scan for security threats" is turned off. But as soon as i install any new app it will end up in a bootloop after reboot again. could not test it with the XDA release because link is down/no such file.i guess i'll stick to the old firmware then.

    Hi all,

I didn't say that I use SuperSU, I can't neither and I stick to KingRoot too. But with TWRP I already made several backup and restoration. It's very usefull as you can't upgrade with a FOTA if you modified the System folder content (and King root does).

About s160602 I have a copy and will be able to upload (just ask) but it seems you can still get it on HTC mania. (I can't speak spanish myself)

    Hi all,

After downloading for test, it appears that HTC mania copy of s160602 is corrupted . And I don't have any more the original XDA Rom, only it's vanillia unrared content, sorry for that,  :-/.

If you still want to get it, I zipped it again into "x5601_otd_elite_5365u_v1.6.3_s160602.zip" and shared it on Free and 1Fichier servers.

My understanding is that, as this is not an official version but maybe only a nightly build sent to Marco992, I gess that when running this version I won't receive any FOTAs, because FOTAs are incremental updates that brings you from a earlier registered version to a newer one. For instance, if you run S151019 you won't receive the same FOTA to reach s160419 than if you ran s151211 (my experience).

hi everybody, i finally worked it out: fixing permissions in twrp-recovery helped to stay rootet after reboot with kingroot. so if anyone is facing the same issue, try this. what i did:

    1. flashed the stock rom (X5601_OTD_ELITE_5365U_V1.5.2_S160225)
    2. let it update to latest version (fota)
    3. made sure that googles security scan was turned off and oem unlocked
    4. then flashed twrp-recovery with sp-flashtool
    5. rebooted, let kingroot do what it does
    6. again made sure that googles security scan was turned off and oem unlocked and rebooted to recovery
    7. wiped dalvik cache there and fixed permissions
    8. rebooted – still got root.

    hope this helps anybody.
