Official ROM Lenovo A916 Version : Lenovo A916_USR_S1205_141013 – lcsh92_slw_2s_kk
Gapps include – No Rooted
Language support: Multilang
Install ROM:
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6592_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery.
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM

This is dual standby or single standby?
To make a916 dual standby . just dial this on your dial pad *#*#5448264#*#* normally after the last digit you're phone will boot… After boot check your settings and viola!!! Dual standby is available

To convert your single standby to dual standby, update to this firmware and then Dial * # * # 5448264 # * # *
The phone will automatically restart and should have dual sim standby actiive, if not then go in the system settings, click dual sim one standy settings, then set it to choose sim1 and sim2.
Hi Ash, I saw your review on Amazon, I had the a850 phone and loved it as dual sim standby worked seamlessly. I have researched the a916 to death and it was perfect but then I realised that in any description it stated dual sim and not dual sim standby!!
On reading your information I cheered up, but could you confirm that you have done this and it definitley works as i want to make sure before i buy it, otherwise i may just go for the a850+

I do the steps as you say but Flash Tool does not detect my phone…
yeah! same as me.. SP Flash Tool not detect my Lenovo A916 phablet.. try using other USB port but came with same result, NOT DETECT.. stuck on download process and nothing happen after it.. how? can u give the step-by-step process?

For Warkrijal & pnatalie… Sorry for my english … you need install the MTK drivers for windows or the phone NOT DETECT.

halloo..i have downloaded this file from dropbox but it doeswnt have in the MT6592 file or any file like this to proceed..how can i do this..thank you
@mafiozos1 : You will open the "AutoInstalacion" folder. Then, run the file "Instalar.bat" with your phone plugged into the PC. Press enter until the installation finish. Open the Flash Tool and do the steps as the guide says. If the Flash Tool do not detect your phone, then try with the battery on the phone. It's very easy to do it.
!Tip: Be careful to Flash Tool to check "Firmware upgrade" not "Download only".
