DESCRIPTION
First charge the phone battery to 100% ! (seriously u can't replace the battery or charge in another way)
BEFORE UPGRADE S60-a 4.4.4 or S60-w:
Do the root with kingroot. After root do the backup all partitions with Partitions Backup & Restore and keep it in safe place:

Known modes:
Vol+ + connect USB on turned off phone = Download Mode (Qpst, Qfill)
Vol- + connect USB on turned off phone = Diag Mode
Vol+ + Vol- + Power Button = Lenovo Recovery (there is an option to turn off phone), this is the simplest way to turn off the phone:
hold Vol- and Vol+, hold Power and wait for reset. Chose english > Turn off
Flashing S60-W with this rom:
After flash your phone could switch to Marshall London HS-USB Diagnostics 9006 in this mode first do the backup all partitions with EMMC RAW TOOL. Then you can flash with MiFlash or write partitons with emmc but first read instructions:

I've got prepared img files for QPST flash from original S60-a_S232_151021_ROW because i can't find other than OTA update.zip. This is Eruopean ROM Version for Lenovo S60.

Warning:
This ROM will wipe all userdata! Except external SD Card.
If phone after flash won't boot up and only long vibrating long hold: VOL- and POWER BUTTON (30-120seconds). Phone should restart.It happens when you will flash from other versions loader (for example 5.0.2 -> 4.4.4 or 4.4.4 -> 5.0.2). Why? Because old loaders is running and you have flashed the new one so you have to restart the phone but u can't remove the battery and u have to long press PWR Button.
Warning 1:
If something went wrong and phone is long vibrating and windows see Qualcom MMC (a lot of drives) u can repair it by flashing emmc with MiFlash and then HOLd VOL- and power Button and plugin USB Cable.
(alternative u can flash manually with: EMMCRAW_1.4.0.0.exe, firstly load partition table gpt_main0.bin)
Warning 2:
After flash you should make factory reset. Turn off the phone, hold VOL- and push power button. Choose Factory reset (it wipe all userdata except external sdcard) and press start.
This is not necessery.
Warning 3:
First boot after flash will take up about 10 minutes. It has to prepare /data partition. Seriously not an hour but long time.
After 1hour hang u can hold VOL- and hold POWER button in the same time for 30-120seconds. Phone will reset in recovery mode. Then choose factory reset, afer factory reset phone will Power Off. Disconnect USB, phone should have black screen. Hold VOL+ and connect USB again. Phone will connect in Download Mode QDload flash it again with QFIL.
You should first backup QCN (imei etc.)! How to:
- Download and install QPST 2.7.422 with QFIL and Qualcomm USB Drivers and LenovoUsbDriver-1.0.12.
- Turn off the phone. Hold Vol- button and plug-in USB Cable. (VOL- and Power Button runs something like recovery menu)

There should be devices in device manager: Ports COM called:
Lenovo HS-USB Diagnostics (COMXX)
and
Lenovo HS-USB NMEA (COMXX)
If there is no devices u have to install it manually in device manager. - Choose backup MRD data (first put SD card inside)
- Run QFIL, check is there a correct diagnostic port COM. On the top click: Tools > QCN Backup Restore

Choose path with write permission, click Backup QCN
How to flash:
Charge the phone 100% and make QCN backup! Then do the factory reset.
- Download and install QPST 2.7.422 with QFIL and Qualcomm USB Drivers.
- Turn off the phone. Hold Vol+ button and plug-in USB Cable. Phone will vibrate one time, screen wil be black. This is DownloadMode.

In any other case u have to install drivers manually. -
Run QFIL.
Click Browse… in Programmer Path and choose prog_emmc_firehose_8916.mbn
Load XML in Download Section:
First select RawProgram File: rawprogram0.xml
then Select Patch File: patch0.xml -
Check all inputs is correct and click Download under Load XML button and wait about 5 to 10 minutes:

other possibility: hold vol- and vol+ and pwr button (all buttons) for some time
or try hold any button and connect USB.
Another emergency: Hold VOL- and Power Button and plug in usb cable.

I have sucessfully flashed this images 5.0.2 on my china S60-w version. After that phone is visible everywhere as S60-a.
System OTA update works.
You shouldn't flash back to 4.4.4 (different loaders). You can do it but sometimes u have to do reset the phone (long hold power button for 1 minute) after reflash.

Works fine in Czech language, incl. Lenovo apps. Also official OTA downloaded/installed without any issues. Great job tosiek!

I just can't acces /storage/sdcard0 from Internal Storage
Ewrithing is installed on /storage/sdcard1
Who knows how I can recover partition?

Please someone help me restore emmc with miflash. My phone is bricked. I have lenovo s60-a
People reporting that after using (not flashing or whatever, regular usage) their device (Lenovo S60-w Chinese version) on Android 5.0.2 at 0% battery their device doesn’t see the chargers and doesn’t boot up. Only red indicator is active, seems that phone is bricked. Any ideas?

On the other hand, i can’t get past step one simply because, it shows my phone as preloader only for a few seconds then it change to: E:
MTP USB Device
it will not stay as a com port no matter what i try so its not visible in qpst.. Any ideas will be much appreciated
