ROM Mobile LENOVO S850 – ROM Android 4.4.2
ONLY MT6582
Official ROM Lenovo S850 version : VIBEUI_V1.5_1419_2_ST_S850 – KOT49H
Gapps lite include – No Rooted
Language support: Multilang
ROM Install :
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6582_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery.
- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM

I don't understand this step in the tutorial :
"- Turn off your phone, remove the battery." <<< The Lenovo S850 has no removable battery so I can't continue the installation =/

Anyone find a fix for the tool dl image fail! I am stuck in a constant boot loop with no fix.
What the H@$#! if you dont know/read the whole tutrial on MTK FlashTool better not do it yourself! You have to tick "DA?DL/Checksum" before starting the flash process.
This is what came installed from factory which bears no resemblence to the roms here - vibeui_v9.5_9422_3_st_s850.
I have an older rom from a russian site but it wiped my imei's and even after big job restoring them the radios do not work so I get no signal and storage will not mount from recovery. I will try this and see if it works any better.
Mine was bought from China so I am asuming its a different rom setup as it was not intended for ROW.
Lenovo S850 has battery build in. Can we flash it without remove battery?
Yes just turn it off start the sp flash then plug in and off it goes.
All good finaly. I just turn off the phone connect it to pc and all ok.The rom is ok so far. Thank u

after clean flash touchpanel dont work
WARNING there is something wrong with this rom , first it says "TOOL DL image fail!" after the rom update and then its totaly DEAD, cant access safe mode or factory mode or anything, just dead so now its just 200$ of junk
Try a previous version from flash tool and before you flash there is an option called DA DL all with check sum. Check it and you will be ok.
cannot touch after finish..
