Step 1: Download the custom ROM copied to an external SD card root directory
Step 2: the shutdown state. While holding down:
– Power button + volume button up, to enter the recovery mode.
– Wipe Data / Factory Reset -> delete all user data
– Wipe Cache Partition -> Wipe cache
– Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache
Step 3: Return to recovery main interface Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> Select your ROM
Step 4: Brush complete, restart the phone Patience required – first boot takes a while
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM

hi everybody, I want to update my lenovo s939 to kitkat but fail halfway with verification failed. May be I already changed the CWM. So where can I find origional lenovo recovery, so that I can flash KK rom.
Anybody knows pls provide the link.

It is possible to flash this rom using sp flash instead of recovery. My lenovo already rooted and cannot flash official rom using recovery..pls advice.

Dear wanzalez,
Goto system update icon, then download the latest firmware. Once complete, slide screen to the right. There are few menu, select tookit, then select install from card. I hope this could help. Sorry if you find this is useless for you.
I think this might work but i havent test yet.
Just download given rom link. Then rename the zip file to update.zip.
To flash to KK,u need stock rom 124/125/129, n stock recovery is compulsary,eitherwise it might not working.Stock rom can used 129 as in 939 list.
next,using stock rom,go to system update,slide to the right as instructed by bro glamhad,then pick the toolkit,install from card. Later it will enter stock recovery,pick ur language n then install.

Just got my s939 and china set and accidentally upgraded. Now all in Chinese characthers and playstore missing. After some search, i landed here. Generally i get the idea of updating my rom to a 4.4.2 english version but i just don't know where/how to start. Is there anyone out there who could help or has any links/sop on steps to properly do this? Appreciate any replies and comments.

English version choose rom 1417 multilanguage which is available in this forum. Steps to flash also availabe. Also you can search at lepak.com for detail flashing steps. Hope it could help.
