Install ROM :
- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select "scatter-Loading" and search MT6789_Android_scatter.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- Select "Download Only" or if upgrade "Firmware upgrade"
- Turn off your tablet.
- Press “Download” button to start
- and connect your tablet into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !
- You can now safely disconnect your tablet and turn it on.
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM

Hi, I got a fake 'global rom' version from aliexpress, do you, or any reader here, know whether I can just flash the CN rom here to get back to original Zui or are there any other steps I need to perform before I can flash it?

As far as I understand you can flash any of the roms available here and you start from scratch, initial set-up. The roms are multilanguage, global, however CN is for the Chinese market.
Hi @Sveto, the reason I asked is because on xda thread of another lenovo tablet with mtk chip, members with fake global rom have bricked their devices when trying to reinstall Zui on their devices with fake global rom because of region coding issues, so I am afraid our device might face the same issue, so far no one is talking about our device unfortunately.
The instructions here I think are for the older Mediatek firmwares, which used SP Flash Tool versions 5 and prior.
This rom here uses the new standard.
1. You need SP Flash Tool version 6 and older (for example SP_Flash_Tool_v6.2316_Win)
2. Make sure you have the Mediatek drivers (Mediatek USB VCOM Drivers / Auto Mediatek USB VCOM Drivers Signed)
3. Under Download-XML, Click on the Choose button.
4. Locate the XML File in the rom called "flash.xml"
5. Next you need to Load the Authentication File "da.auth" also located in the decompressed rom.
6. Click the "Download" button
7. Connect your Mediatek Device to the computer using the USB Cable (make sure it is power off).
8. After connecting the device to the computer Press Volume Down or Volume Up key, so that SP Flash Tool V6 can detect the device.
9. Once the computer detects the device, the flashing or installation process will begin automatically.
10. Once the installation process is completed, a Green Ring will appear.
11. Close the SP Flash Tool V6 and disconnect your Mediatek device from the computer.
a unica rom que funciona é a chinesa. As outras que seriam de rom global, ao instalar, aparece erro " check region fail". Infelizmente nao encontrei uma forma de contornar isso. Ficmaos presos na rom chinesa

Trying to flash the China rom, ROM 3 in the list here, current ROM is fake global rom, I get firmware error message, saying I need to format device, those who have successfully flashed the china rom, did you get the same error message on first try, did you format your device?
At this point I don't know what to think about the whole story. I can't find in the comments somebody to confirm a successfull flashing of any of the roms here. I myself, have not tried them, since I don't trust this situation. The person posting those roms never responds to any questions. Seemingly the roms are given "as is", no questions asked, no guarantie, no help. So if you are comfortable with this situation, you may try / experiment with any of the roms.

Hi and thank you for all your efforts. There is virtually no other source for up-to-date ROMs, so your contribution is highly appreciated. And yes, by no means you are obligated, on top of the above, to give support for flashing. That is why I previously wrote, that ROMs were "as is", so anyone comfortable with the risk might experiment. The only way to learn is to be able to take the corresponding risks! There is no free meal. Thank you again.
