     Hi,
     To solve the problem with Goole play and a not working settings application, try the following:
     1. reset the tablet to factory defaults.
     2. download [APKmirror - for Android 6.0.1] and install [from SD card] on first boot after resetting the tablet:
     a) com.android.vending_43.6.34-23_0_PR_696659122-84363400_3arch_24lang_…… – Google Play Store version
     b) com.google.android.gms_24.07.54_…. as Google Play services.

     Block automatic updates. Some later versions probably may be fine too, but I haven't tried.

     That solved the problem for me.
     It seems that the problem is caused by one of the summer's 2024 update Play services.

   Please can someone explain better how to install these updates? The "installer.cmd" command does not work.
   I tried with PFTL but the flashing stops.
   Can someone help me? I also have problems with google play services!
