Release Notes
Custom rom update including some small modifications and disabled spyware (not by using hosts..) & removed bloatware. The rom is official 36.0.0 MIUI v5 with some small modifications.
Hongmi Redmi 1S WCDMA/CDMA/3G (Global) Multi language for msm8228 (Snapdragon 400) not for mkt65x (mediatek).

Audit again and test, on my device no connections are made to wierd ips, only to Google by apps that normally do to when for example opening a app with admob, or while opening the play store that made a connection to *.1e100.net.

Backdoors are gone, mostly done by string patching domains in the dalvik bytecode.
Bootannimation deleted (faster boot), music_bg added, wallpapers added, lockscreen icon modified, lockwallpaper modified, under "system/media/theme/default".
Framework_ext.jar, fileexplorer.apk, music.apk (modified, spyware gone now)
Xiaomi framework, (deleted) contained a 'backdoor'. And some other system files under "/system/app" that actually did nothing besides sending info to china servers.
Other apks rm'd under "/system/app" that weren't important systems apps that made internet connection.
MiCloud services, also right to the trashcan.

All modifications have been tested on 3 devices. You can flash this OTA from any previous version without expecting problems.
Tested from 29.0.0, 92.0.0 and 31.0.1. All the Google features are still present.

Install Notes
0) Install adb drivers (http://adbdriver.com/upload/AdbDriverInstaller.exe) and enable USB debugging on your phone (tab 7x 'Android-version' under About the phone to unlock dev options)
1) Put *.zip modified OTA update on Micro SD card, doesn't matter wat name it has. (NOT INTERGRATED MEMORY "/data/media/0" !)
2) Boot intro CWM, using the cmd shortcut if you don't know how
3) Select zip on sdcard in CWM
4) Install it and if it asks for a signature verification that failed, just continue it's OK (before you proceed, run checksum verifier shortcut to make sure all files are correct and not damaged somehow).
5) Have fun and remember just IN CASE, install a firewall.

Still need to remove Update.apk from system/apps (you can also do this yourself). Forgot to remove this one from the last release i updated (fix2).
Updater becomes useless because if you leave it in the rom, it will be launched each startup and this app will contact their servers to request a xml page. To check for a a rom update (What i assume), updating will bring back the spyware so i just remove this from the release.
About the XMPP connection (thanks Fennec for letting me know this)
I still need to find a way to get this issue resolved. I think i simply add the hostname / ipv4 to the hosts file and it should be fine too.

Error in updater script.. Flashed via twrp..
I was aware of this, the MiRecovery doesn't allow you to flash the update it will give you a CRC checksum error. If you use TWRP or CWM it will work just fine.

Not yet, I will try to upload it today. But it takes me a hour or 3 – 4 to upload. That's the issues that causes the delays in updates.
The RUU is really a mess. Better wait for the CM11 release for armani.

still screen is the main problem of baterry drain.
but, this rom is really clean and good.
memfree around 300-400mb on clean install.
the problem is timezone setting which not correctly updated even using automatic timezone and clock. (timezone always reset)
for anyone who face this error, use this for fix Timezone Fixer (root needed)

I never had this problem before. Did you try to do a full wipe, remove dalvik cache and reflash?
hi! i have a MTK hongmi… is there a similar rom out there for the hongmi like yours… cleared from spyware and unnecesary things?
is there a big risk in bricking my device if i flash this in my mtk hongmi?
There is always a risk, but if you start CWM with fastboot and properly flash the phone, nothing will go wrong.
Just don't install any recovery like TRWP or CWM, because those are beta versions at least the CWM version i included in the rar archive (maybe now a final release has been pubished of TRWP or CWM, not sure) just use fastboot to temporarily backup and flash the rom. This is needed because the MIUI recovery does not allow you to flash non-signed roms archives (will results in a CRC checksum error if you try to do so).
Of course before you flash the phone you should make a full backup of the phone, and make sure to delete dalvik cache and do a full wipe etc and then flash it.
Can't edit my previous post, but if you read the ad it clearly says in red bold letters that this is only for the Snapdragon soc and not the MTK(mediatek) soc version. So yes if you flash this rom on your phone it won't start and might even brick your device (not sure?).

If you flash a MTK device with this rom made for Snapdragon you will only be able to recovery it with CWM or TRWP.

Op zich is hij ook best fijn alleen gebruikt veel resources (ram/cpu). Wat erg jammer is want de Cyanogenmod rom is veel smoother.
Alleen de Cyanogenmod rom had wat problemen met 3G connection strength en een aantal bugs, die ondertussen al gepatcht zijn geloof ik,
