Unofficial ROM MiUI ported to Iocean Rock MT6752

FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards or any other issue. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this patch before flashing it! You are choosing to make these modifications. You have to make a backup of your phone before use this ROM.

Update date: 2016.08.28

* Added Umbrella Kernel fixed, with fastcharge and without 20% battery bug.

** The ROMs don't have the last Umbrella Kernel, it is recommended to flash the last one.

MiUI v8 : 6.8.25

MiUI v7 : 6.5.30

* Flash via recovery

* First boot after install take very long time (7 ~ 10 min), wait patiently.

*** IMPORTANT: If you recieve some update (OTA), DO NOT UPDATE! because it is only compatible with Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, and our mobile could stop working.​ (In update settings, set manually only).

 

NOTES

*** If the speaker sound is low, enter in Engineering mode and set to 160 the parameter max.vol. in audio normal mode, and in loudspeaker mode.

MTK Engineering Mode supported

If you have some issues with the network, just consider to flash another Modem

It's recommended to set Developer Options: Windows animation scale, Transition animation scale and Animator duration scale to 0.5x

Do not have SmartWake

 

BUGS

* Camera HDR crash. (solvable with KK miuicamera apk, but i don't like it).

* Return from fly mode don't work.

* Sometimes screen goes black, need to cycle power button to reactivate

* High battery drain

* Second space not working

* Color problems in FullHD video recording

* usb MTP PC connection problems

* Front camera green effect on top (I haven't found a solution yet).

INSTALLATION

Method 1 (If you come from Xtreme ROM)

Copy the ROM into the external SDcard.

​Go to TWRP 2.8.7.7 or 3.0.2

Wipe Dalvik Cache, System, Cache, Data & Internal Storage.

Install the ROM.

Method 2 (If you do not come from Xtreme ROM)

Flash Xtreme ROM 5.1 onto SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade Mode

Copy the ROM into the external SDcard.

Go to TWRP 2.8.7.7 or 3.0.2

Wipe Dalvik Cache, System, Cache, Data & Internal Storage.

Install the ROM.

    What is the difference between stock and umbrella kernel ? Is it simply for charging purposes? What are the pros and cons of both ?

      The diferencies between stock and umbrella kernel are the same as others ROMs:

      * Stock charge fastest than umbrella.

      * Umbrella have more performance than stock.

      * Umbrella have the 15% battery bug.

    Separate displays memory has been damaged after the brush into the 6.5.5 and equipment is bound, waiting for the owner to contact!

    6.5.5 has broken mtp connection – random disconnections while copying files. Checked with stock and umbrella kernels.

    ROM 6.5.26 have the same bug with the camera. I haven't found a solution yet.

    6.5.26 is quite buggy and lags somewhat. I’ll stick with 6.2.29 in stock kernel for the time being. Thanks for the ROM anyway.

    INFO: The version that I had uploaded yesterday, was not 6.5.26 if not 6.5.30, so today I have changed the name of 6.5.26 to 6.5.30 and I have uploaded the new 6.5.26 ROM.

    You mean the version you uploaded yesterday was actually 6.5.30 instead of 6.5.26 ? If yes, it means I already downloaded 6.5.30, right ? Am getting confused…. Lol…

      Sorry for the confusion. Exactly, 6.5.30 is the ROM that I have uploaded two days ago and I called erroneously 6.5.26. The new ROM 6.5.26 seems to work better. I hope I explained better

      OK. Downloaded the new 6.5.26 and installed. There is a bug in the Downloads -> Settings. Force closes all the time. Can it be fixed ? I don’t use Wi-Fi much or the Xunlei accelerator, so I want to change the settings.

    Hi,

    I have the problem that I can't choose the preferred network type for Sim2. Doesn't thie Rom support data on Sim2?

      I believe you have to choose either sim 1 or 2 first of all. Only then the options get enabled for whichever sim slot you choose.
