DESCRIPTION


ROM Phone STAR N9589 – ROM Android 4.2.1

Official ROM Star N9589 Version : e2001v21_v89_gq2008s_20130511

 

ROM Install :

CWM

Step 1: Download the custom ROM and copy to the root directory on an external SD card.
Step 2: Whilst power is off, hold down:
            – Power button + volume button up, to enter the recovery mode.
            – Wipe Data / Factory Reset -> delete all user data
Step 3: Return to recovery main interface Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> Select your ROM
Step 4: Update complete, restart the phone Patience required – first boot takes a while.



※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM

    The only problems I have had with this ROM are the same as other ROMs, but it crashes less.  I think we will have to wait for Mediatek to produce a 4.2.2 ROM to fix A2DP issues.

    FM radio being mono only could be a hardware issue.

    Sometimes I need ot reboot to get GPS working properly, but I have seen this issue with 4.0.4 on another device, so must be Android-related.

    3G seems to be a lot more stable than older ROMs (in the UK, where it is 2100MHz).  Best place to go for help is the forum where I found this ROM.  It is unfortunately (for me) in Russian so I have to use Google Traslate to read it.

    Also Llama profiles can only capture cell changes if the screen is on, again the same as other ROMs.  This is I would guess a kernel issue.

    Hi, my phone bricked this morning. When I power on, I only see the green android man and it failed to boot into the operating system. When I power on and vol+ together, I don't get the recovery screen, I only get the green android man with an exclamation mark with "no command" message. Can you help?
