Hello,
I have installed the Lewa os5 rom on a star n9589, and the 3G connection is not working.
It cannot be connected. I moved the sim card from slot 1 to slot 2 and it doesn't work.
Any idea ?
The last Lewa (october 2013) was working perfectly.
Thank you for your help,
Bertrand
after long and long search i manged it to work,
if you have the older version of lewa rom (october 2013) search for file name "modem.img" in "system>etc>firmware" and copy it then replace the same "modem.img" file in the new rom with the older one then install the rom.
i have instal it..but booloop
Hi How you do CWM in this divice? some one have an tutorial or an explanation with more details? Thanks =D
@ Turospear : thank you for your help, I replaced the 'modem.img' and zipeed the rom file but the installation aborted. As my knowledges are very limited, I don't know where I messed up, so I just reinstalled the October version.
@ samuelzyx : it worked for me :

here is the my modem.img file try it, also do not unzipped the rom file just double click on the rom.zip then go to "system>etc>firmware" and delete the modem.img file then drag and drop the new one into the zipped rom file (same location) and the new file will be zipped only into the file.
her's is the download link

hop it work for you
@Turospear : It works ! thank you for your help.
I tried exactly your process with winrar, your file and with windows 8.1.
Before your advice, I unzipped and 're-zip' the file. So I don't know what was wrong :
the file I used or the process (unzip and 're-zip) or the OS as I used (Debian and Windows).
Anyway, it works perfectly,
Bertrand
@Turospear :changing the firmware to do with the rom installed using root explorer?
you have to modify the zipped ROM file in your PC before installing it to your phone
Are they available in other languages e.g. German?
This ROM bootloops and even after replacing boot.img with original it hangs after boot sound.
I've updated your rom through recovery by the wipe provided.
Unfortunately, after the update is installed in the baseband then the phone does not see the sim.
I ask for some clarification on this, thanks
