ROM Install :

- Unpack FlashTools, and Click on Flash_tool.exe
- Select a the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt in ROM
- Wait file to be added into Flash Tool
- choose Option->USB Model,click USB Model
–> Choose Option->DA DownLoad All->Speed->High Speed, click High Speed
- Turn off your phone, remove the battery.

- "Press F9 (hit Download button)" OR " if upgrade ROM Firmware->Upgrade "
- and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
- The process will start and a red progress bar will appear after color purple, yellow.
- And green circles display
- Finish !

- You can now safely disconnect your phone and turn it on.

Info if problem Black screen after install you must reinstall with SP MDT and choose Driver LCD: LB06001

About battery mine can go durin 1-2 days and more without problem but normal use is different for everyone !
To compare I have quite the same with my desire HD and custom rom for low consumption.

hope someone will make good roms for it like miui or CM i tried to install lewoOs wich is for carpad in this site but its not installable for ulefone guess if i didnt do any wrong.Thank you again my friend

To Socrate: many thanks for posting this. Just a question: are you certain it is 4.2.1? I ask because the Star website cites 4.2.9 as the Android version in its P6/P6+.

  Hi Gino, I did not mean that there was a downloadable ROM on the website for 4.2.9 But if you follow the link you posted, and check the image that shows the specifications for the P6/P6+ near the top of the page it will show "Android 4.2.9" in the right-hand column, third from the bottom:

I use rom version : 00_v89_gq3012fhd_20131113
But due to some problem during first install (screen) I tried some manual modification and I perhaps do something bad !
Compass is not mandatory for me and I asked jus to know !
Could you jus check under Z-devices name and information about compass sensor (in my case BMM050)

on my device shows Bmm050 too but my rom is 00_v89_gq3012fhd_20131121
did you try full wipe and factory reset ? maybe reinstall with spflashtool?

ohh got it my friend its okay.. i used Umi, Jiayu and iocean before they all have their forums on their websites for sharing new roms, solving problems etc.. why Star company have not any didnt understand .. it would be great. p6+ not have 4.2.9, actually they use 4.x.9 roms for clone phones like iphone 4-5 if i not wrong. when i check my p6+ it shows 4.2.1
