   Hi,

   Just got the THL 4000 and rooted straight up without signing into google or setting up WiFi or anything really.
   Kingo rooted, flashed your awesome TWRP2 recovery with MobileUncle, installed SuperSU via recovery, wiped cache/dalvik and then uninstalled Kingo. Installed ES File Explorer (enabled root within), moved a Nova Launcher apk to system/app and set permissions… anyway all that is ok… except the Recovery… I didn't get MTK tools up and backup the stock recovery…
   Now I've signed in to Google and setup the WiFi I've got a notification that a Wireless update version:
   "thl.4000.168B.1479M.A2.8964.QHD.EN.COM.20150319.MT6582KK.GC5004" is available.
   Because I've updated recovery to TWRP2, the update fails. I've tried installing the update.zip but it fails. Searching for a stock recovery to install the update… Just in case I can't find it, could you upload a stock 20141128 recovery, as 20141128 GC5004 is indeed this phone.

   BTW, so far I'm loving my THL 4000

     Update:

     Nevermind.
     I downloaded ThL 4000 – Update 11/28/2014 – FL – GC5004 from https://www.needrom.com/downlo.....ad/thl-4000/, extracted recovery.zip, had to download Rashr to change the recovery as MobileUncle failed? And then I was able to do that 6MB system update… lol was it worth it? Then back to TWRP2. Too easy

   After the update I lost root. Had to Kingo root once again, though this time there was notification that it completed. After 5 minutes found the Kingo app was loaded on phone, changed USB to charge only and switched a few times between USB Storage (without turning on storage) and Charge only a few times, allowing a few minutes between each… anyway it never completed, so switched to charge only, pulled the plug and found Rashr was able to flash TWRP2 once more SuperSU, blah blah blah good times.

   Yes, I have been notified about new FOTA update today (stock rom) but it need stock recovery to install. Where can I get it ?

   OK guys,,,I bricked my phone after flashing 10/24/2014GC5004 ROM recovery image so as to flash the official OTA UPDATE…
   I Tried to flash custom recoveries and boot image
   as they didn’t work,,,any help?

   Excellent Biecpi. This custom Stock ROM works great. Though, I found with even the official stock ROM, Network Location wasn't working correctly. I used both "UnifiedNlp.apk" and "IchnaeaNlpBackend.apk" to fix that.
   Wonder, would fresh GAPPS flash, clear Cache and Dalvik have fixed that?

     No, it didn't stick. Location with geocoder went wrong again. Perhaps I should just give up on Fancy Widgets, maybe it's just that app.

     Yes, WeatherZone and widget is detecting my location just fine. It is interesting though that my wifes LG phone works fine with Fancy Widgets location with geocoder set to google and without GPS enabled. Ny previous phone (Jiayu G2FW MTK6582) would set the right location, but it too had problems when transitioning between locations with slow update. Found that with both these phones that Fancy Widgets works best with GPS enabled and Geocoder set to Weather Provider, within its configuration settings.
     I'll now give up on Fancy Widgets. AccuWeather is shit anyway

     Да, WeatherZone и виджет обнаружения моя расположение просто прекрасно. Интересно , однако, что мой жены LG телефон отлично работает с Fancy Widgets месте с геокодера набор для Google и без включен GPS . Ny предыдущий телефон ( Jiayu G2FW MTK6582 ) будет установить правильное место , но это тоже были проблемы при переходе между локациями с медленным обновлением. Установлено, что с обеих этих телефонов , что Fancy Widgets лучше всего работает с GPS включен и геокодера , установленных с погодными поставщика , в его настройки .
     Теперь я дам на Fancy Widgets. AccuWeather является дерьмо в любом случае.
