DESCRIPTION
This is a custom TWRP recovery for Lenovo A820. I guess it might work fine for A830 too, but I don't have the device to verify. It is suitable for KitKat roms.
TWRP has touch support, extended backup/restore functions, theming and many more.
I've currently ported 3 themes with material design – Dark, Light and Play.

Installation
Here are some variants for flashing the custom recovery
- If you already have the older TWRP 2.8.4.0 version installed (v1), you can tap on Install button, swtich to Images (from the button in the bottom right corner) find your downloaded twpr img file, then select Recovery as destination partition and swipe to flash.
- By Rashr – Flash Tool from PlayStore. Just select Recovery from storage and find the downloaded img file.
- By FlashTool for PC
Themes
Place desired theme in /sdcard/TWRP/theme (create that folder if you don't have it) and rename the zip file to ui.zip. Then restart to recovery to see the effect.
※Please make a backup of your device before installing or updating ROM
Hi! backups folder naming has changed in this latest relaease?
it was /sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/Lenovo_A820_MT6589/ in 1.0?
now its /sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/Lenovo_A820/ so we need to move backups to that new folder.
why that were done?
in the new 2.8.7 TWRP it was opposite change as per http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php.....#038;p=42731782 and maybe I.nfraR.ed will have a time and will make 2.8.7 for us too? Thanx as usual Great Job!
For 2.8.7 you need bigger recovery partition. I have compiled one long time ago, but could not fit in the tiny recovery partition of A820 (6MB).
It can be extended, but I decided not to do so. Probably I could turn off some features to save space, but did not want to spend too much time.
